Detailed Reviews
This is a lovely small hotel in a wonderful setting. We had a room with a terrace overlooking the marina and, with no traffic allowed, it was most restful and matched our expectations.
Bocca di Magra is a laid-back and quiet village, marina and beach at the end of the local road. It has a few lovely restaurants and the hotel is only a few minutes' walk from the small beach, beyond the marina.
Car parking is free (avoid the yellow parking spots - they're for locals) in the public car park just behind the hotel.
All in all a wonderful spot that we would widely advocate and would have no hesitation in revisiting.

I absolutely love this place.
It’s a beautiful building (I guess from the 1940 or so). 4 minutes walking from the beach, in a very central location of Bocca di Magra. It’s under Monte Marcello, while on the other side you can look at the Alpi Apuane and the river Magra. The small swimming pool has lots of character and it’s so comfortable and refreshing.
There are plenty of wonderful attractions to visit nearby. Don’t forget the Roman ancient ruins of Luni and the winery. If you are driving, there is a free parking behind the path, again 3 minutes walking.
There is no lift, this needs consideration.
Rooms are all different from each other and different sizes, so, make sure that you ask for what you really want.
I will surely go back.

Stayed here for a weekend. Lovely family run hotel opposite the small yacht marina. Wonderful to wake up watching the yachts in the little port. A lovely place to stay for visiting yachtees or those wanting to get away from the noisy areas out of season.
It has a lovely little garden and pool. The cleaning staff clean to perfection. Breakfast on the terrace facing the little yachts port is ideal.

Very cozy little hotel and great spot near the most beautiful places in that area. Rooms are clean and the staff is very friendly. We liked it very much and will definitely come back. It does have this something special and we enjoyed the very relaxing atmosphere.

It was a bitter sweet experience. The location is good, with great views. We were hosted by a really kind lady. Breakfast was good. The bedroom window faced the beach, but it was a little small as well as it was the bathroom. The worst thing were the stairs up to the bedrooms. We were on the second floor and there was no elevator. Pretty bad. Tiring and dangerous

Some years ago we visited Bocca di Magra for the day, and had a drink on the terrace of this hotel. We vowed that someday we would return for a stay. This year we were able to fulfil that wish. We were not disappointed, it is a lovely family hotel with very helpful ownership and charming staff. The room was clean and more than adequate and the bed comfortable ( though the pillow was a little lumpy ) The room also had outstanding views. Breakfast was fine, and we also had excellent meals in the restaurant. Thoroughly recommended.

It is a nice, family managed, hotel with 25 rooms about.
There is a 10 meters swimming pool on the back, small garden. Rooms are clean and bathrooms recently renovated. A few rooms have private terrace for a sunset drink, over the pleasure port, wich is just a few meters away.
The entire village is very calm, and suitable for a weekend away from crowd, traffic and noise. At ground floor a restaurant is available, good quality of local dishes, at averaged prices for the site.
Holders are very nice and friendly; bicycles are available at the reception.

Hotel Sette Archi is located in Bocca di Magra, a beautiful and picturesque hamlet of Ameglia. It is in front of the harbour, very close to the beach. Right next to the hotel there are the ruins of a Roman villa. In this place you have the feeling of being in a world apart, far from the madding crowd. Particularly this hotel has an inviting swimming pool, but its plus is certainly the cooking. You can eat excellent first courses and seafood. The staff is very kind and smart.

+1
Cute, small hotel on the coast where we spent 6 nights in May 2016. Rooms are pretty basic but given the planned visits of the environment, we did not mind as the room was a bit tight. Comfortable bed, peace and quiet to sleep. Rooms facing the sea have beautiful balconies unlike room overlooking the pool and hills. Breakfast decent. Restaurant and hotel are very clean. Parking can be found near the hotel. Beautiful terrace in front of the hotel for a cup of coffee. Very friendly owner who greets every request with a smile. All in all, a recommendation for a shorter stay.

A friend advised us of Hotel Sette Archi and we are so glad they did !
Maria Ida is a stylish and gracious host and this is reflected by all the staff at the hotel.
We had a room with a balcony overlooking the river ; so nice to wake up to in the morning.
Bocca di Magra is a lovely seaside village . We swam at the local beach just a short stroll away.
The hotel restaurant is very good.; we had 3 dinners in 4 nights !
Really enjoyed our stay and hope to return.
Very good value for money as well. .
