The Cob House is indeed a unique and special place. I was attracted to this guest house by the philosophy behind it and when I arrived I was not let down at all. The room is very spacious and with the afternoon sun shining through the windows, the space feels so calm and serene. I love the colours, the beautiful...

I had an amazing experience in Muizenberg, South Africa. A big part of this experience was my stay at the Cob House and connecting with its proprietors Carey and Simric. The both went above and beyond to make my experience one that I will cherish and share forever. They accommodated me every morning with vegetarian and vegan breakfasts and I...

We loved the room and the area, and stayed much longer than originally planned, given more holiday time we would have liked to stay another week. Very comfortable bed, spacious room, lovely build, lovely furnishing. Very peaceful. No traffic noise. Can listen to the distant surf at night. Great location. Quiet residential area. 5 minutes walk to the beach, which...

What a pleasant surprise! In the middle of Muizenberg is a very quaint, warm & cosy-looking cob-house. I've seen it many times, but wasn't expecting to find such a charming & luxurious interior - reminded me of a swiss chalet. The hospitality of the hosts was friendly & considerate. Well worth 3 nights of my life! :)

After a week in a decidedly eco-unfriendly hotel in Cape Town, two nights at Samhitakasha was a return to sanity for me. I love their philosophy of radical respect for the environment - a philosophy that is communicated clearly and carefully but without being preachy. If you want your holiday to have as minimal negative impact on the world around...

A large comfortable bed in a beautifully crafted room with a wooden table next to large windows where I could sit and write. When I needed a break I was five minutes walk away from one of the most beautiful beaches in the world. A jug of water flavoured with mint from the organic garden is just one example of...

We were at Samhitakasha for a much needed break from the ratrace of Gauteng when we heard the news of one of our parents having passed on. This house was healing in its own sence and we could not have been in a better space to deal with the initial shock. Indeed both Simric and Carey are unconventional but refreshingly...
