Prior to my stay at the Mezzanine I'd had 2 pretty poor stays at Azulik and Playa Papaya, so opted for this place due to the stellar reviews. I arrived a bit earlier than the check in time so the lovely Alejandra brought me a Margherita and gave me a table on the balcony. Shortly afterwards I was shown to my room and there was a birthday gift (even though it was the previous day) and some nice decorations, it was lovely. The location is right on the beach, my room was a few steps away from the pool and restaurant, it was super convenient. There's a daily 3 hour happy hour and the cocktails were excellent, as was the food. There's nice touches like evening tea brought to the room, the team really spoil you. I also booked a couple of tours with Alejandra which were seamless. Mezzanine even though the great reviews, exceeded my expectations. Thanks guys!

Hotel's Favourite
From the moment you book, working directly with the concierge, to when you arrive, until you leave, they team at Mezzanine go above and beyond. They took care of our transfers from the hotel, suggested/coordinated all meals and other activities and gave us the impression that they were pleased to be assisting us. We stayed in the largest suite right on the water with a private balcony giving us access not only to the beautiful views of the beach, but also of the rest of the lush area surrounding the hotel. The service at the bar, restaurant and front desk as impeccable. You always had the feeling that the staff was a few steps ahead of you, taking care of your every need/want.

My friend and I stayed her for a 6 day vacation, and it was everything we wanted and needed! We had a beachfront room, from where we could hear the beautiful waves at night, and step right outside our front door to watch the incredible sunrises. We really enjoyed the intimate aspect of this hotel. There was never a rush to get to a day bed or hammock - they were always open and available. Staff would come and check on you regularly (but not annoyingly!) to see how you were doing/if you needed anything, and they would bring it right to you. We were steps from the beautiful beach, and couldn't have asked for a better location! It is about 3 miles down the road from the main shops/restaurants, but the staff made it very easy to get a cab to take you there. The food and views from the restaurant seating were amazing!! Would highly recommend this place for an easy-going, relaxing vacation!

We've done lots of all-inclusives when it's just the two of us, and rented a half-dozen amazing beach houses with friends, but Mezzanine Hotel in Tulum was the perfect choice for our "pandemic getaway." Even before we got there, Abdel — our Concierge — endeared himself to us with email updates and answers to our inevitable questions. Once we arrived, and throughout our stay, he and his colleague Alejandra and the entire Mezzanine team took extraordinary care in making sure we were well taken care of, and definitely well fed whether we were eating and drinking at the hotel or checking out their "downtown" restaurant recommendations (especially Arca and Posada Margherita). One last thing: Mezzanine's commitment to keeping everyone safe during the pandemic was uncompromising and greatly appreciated. Can't wait to go back!
