Mezzanine is the perfect Tulum experience. It is located in the archeological zone so it is a little more secluded than the hotels on the main strip, but it is a short cab ride (or bike ride, or even walk) to the action. It is also a short walk to the ruins. It is a lovely beachfront property. The views from the property are perfect. The rooms are spacious and clean--and really cute. But the best part of Mezzanine is probably the service, which is impeccable. The staff are attentive and muy amable (very nice). If you're tying to pick the perfect place in Tulum, look no further than Mezzanine. You won't be disappointed.
Hands down, Mezzanine is one of the best hotels I have ever stayed and at. The location was amazing, the rooms were a bit small but so so comfortable and the best thing about this hotel was the service. I felt so well taken care of and the staff really goes above and beyond for its guests. David and Abdel were honestly so great. We thank them for all they did for us and for all the little details that made our stay so special! My bf and I went for 4 nights and wish we could have stayed longer. We chose this hotel because it's away from the Tulum strip so it's more relaxing and secluded. The hotel is located inside the national park and you are surrounded by the jungle. The beach views were beautiful and I prefer this beach to the beach near the hotel zone because it's less crowded and Playa Paraiso is nicer. The sand is wider, the water is more blue and we had the beach to ourselves most of the time. We were able to walk to the Tulum ruins from our hotel. The restaurant at the hotel was also delicious and I highly recommend it. You can also use the amenities at the sister hotels (Mi Amor Colibri, El Pez, and La Zebra) which was so cool and you also get cocktail coupons to use at these hotels. Definitely worth checking them out! The only thing to note is that the hotel is far from the main strip so we took a lot of taxis back and forth. What you can do is rent a scooter (the hotel has rentals at $60 USD per day or take a taxi to town and rent one for $25 USD/day) and rent it for the length of your stay so you can move around easier if you dont want to take taxis. We biked to the strip once but honestly it was too far and we did not do it again. Anyway, I cannot recommend this hotel enough. You will love it and be very well taken care of in this beautiful paradise!! I cannot wait to go back!…
My husband and I stayed 5 nights, 5 days in the least non view room and have to say - it was perfect! With gorgeous weather and a hotel on the water the room should be to sleep and freshen up. The morning coffee left at our door and the evening tea service were those small extras that add a personal touch to the already very bed bd breakfast feel of the property. The property is dreamy and perfect for those ready to get away from the hustle and bustle of a busy life. The beach is clean and the water was perfection - the offer mats and an umbrella but there are plenty of lovely pockets with hammocks and chairs, and beds on the property. The real VIP is Maricela - she is INCREDIBLE! My husband and I are both in hospitality - he is a GM of a resort and I own a wedding planning company. I can tell you right now that this woman goes above and beyond. Her charming demeanor, positive attitude and hospital and very professional nature makes you know you have chosen the best of the best. Let me rephrase - Mezzanine has the best of the best with Maricela there! She deserves 100 stars. Also, I must add, David is so knowledgeable and has lived in Tulum his whole life. He is a great resource for info on adventures, restaurants etc. Last but not least, if David can get you Erik as your cab driver to take you to the cenotes, ruins whatever you fancy - GO! Erik is honest, knowledgeable and once again, goes above and beyond. We will certainly be back! …
This year we visited the hotel Mezzaine which is located next to the Paradise beach within the Natural Park of the Maya Ruins of Tulum. It is a small Boutique hotel with 12 rooms. We had the master suite with a large terrace and great view of the beach and the Caribbean Sea. The suite is very spacious with attractive furniture and was always very clean. The hotel is located on a hill embedded in the vegetation occurring there. The entire staff was very friendly, helpful and accommodating. Special thanks goes to Angelica and David for their very personal attention. We felt very comfortable.
We stayed at Mezzanine in Tulum for ten wonderful days. It has been only a few days since we got back and it already feels like a dream. The Hotel with its only nine adults-only rooms is very well designed. Nothing over-the-top but everything is natural and immaculate, clean and thoughtful. It touches all your senses with excellent choice of music with local birds, occasional resin scents with ocean breeze, pelicans flying overhead while trees gracefully rocking back and forth. The food and drinks (both cocktails and smoothies to recover from ambitious tequila tasting sprees) also hit the spot. The restaurant has a focused and delicious range of options. We opted to stay in and eat at the Mezzanine over and over again. But most importantly everything comes together by the touch of an amazing staff. We have stayed in many hotels and we can easily say that Mezzanine staff have achieved an almost impossible balance that is being professional and friendly at the same time. Abdel, Maricela, David, Papazul, Filiberto, Milo, Lino, Ricardo and the entire team is like a family. They work hard to make you comfortable, their smiles are warm and sincere like the sun over beaches of Tulum, and they are awesome! Muchos gracias por todo! As Laura replied when we complimented she “has an amazing team”! Tulum has much to offer in terms of history (Mayan ruins), nature (jungle meeting white sand beaches, cenotes), rich and friendly culture. We did sample all these but every time retreated back to Mezzanine to relax and unwind which we desperately needed for a long time.…
