We had the luna miel room and it was just like a dream. Just on the beach you can see the sun rise over the sea from your bed. There's only a few room so it feels really special. The hotel was very clean although a bit dark inside this is because everything is wooden. I

This is one of the best values in the area. Hopefully someday I will return for a 3rd trip. The natural seaweed has affected the entire coast and this property is not as bad as some. They built two newer hotel type units on the property but the best bet is the cabin that sits

We choose the hotel for its location (a bit outside of the city), on the beach! We had a room with beach view. You open the door and you have a small private terrasse and straight feet in the wonderful sand. We loved this place. This is simple but we found the place very nice

I write this review as a guest who have stayed already 3 times in this property and many times in Tulum and surrounding areas, so I feel like I have a good perspective to compare and advise. Please read this review carefully as it can give you some clues as to how to best spend

Azucar could be a very nice hotel but it is currently uninhabitable due to very loud construction going on right next door. We were booked there for the whole week of our vacation hoping for some peace and quiet. We had to leave as our nerves were shot from chain sawing, jack

Every morning this is the view you wake up to
View from the beach- we stayed in the lower right room
Puddle on bathroom floor because of leaking tap
Safe under leaking kitchen sink
Don’t expect anything there but very simple pans and very simple knives, an old stove and an old leaking fridge. Its more of a survival thing really-good if you are a student. If your child has food allergies, I highly recommend staying in the nearby town of Tankah Bay, you can check the Home Away pages and or VRbo and just rent a house ( there are many and the area is extremely safe) with a cook- believe me it is cheaper than staying in Tulum itself and it will save you a LOT of stress pollution and noise. I have stayed at a home owned by Americans, called Casa Azul and Casa Soleada, they are first line on the beach (as all the villas there) and their cooking/ cleaning staff is amazing. This I can wholeheartedly recommend it for a family vacation as I went there twice. In fact, I decided to stay in Tulum itself just for a change after three years of going to Tankah and I regretted it very much due to the fact that the place has undergone so many negative changes: Tulum is now overcrowded, overpriced and very polluted by construction, constant traffic, overflowing sewage and noise. Not a dream vacation anyway- best to nip out to catch lunch or dinner there but not for a pleasant and relaxing stay

Hello, it's near some restaurants and breakfast cafe's but to go to Tulum centre you may need bicycles or a taxi, it's not really great to walk so much in the heat!! hope that helps!!

Hi, I'm sorry I can't remember the name of the venue that we used to go to but its left of azucar towards the main street. This particular resort/ bar has swings next the bar- we went there for drinks and we also got massages, there were lots of people around. Everything is pretty much walking distance. No real beach clubs by memory.

"All the cabanas facing the beach is beautiful, if you want to cook for yourself you should choose the family cabana."
