Total Relaxation!

My Wife and i needed a relaxing break, this was the best choice!! Waves breaking gently against the shore, right outside the front door of our room. Got up early to watch the pelicans fishing at sunrise, from the comfort of the hammock on the front porch sipping the coffee that is delivered to the rooms each morning. Lunch delivered to us with juices, wines or cocktails as we sat under an umbrella in the sand. We had plans of seeing a lot more of what Tulum has to offer, but spent more time here instead because it just felt so right! Welcoming, relaxing, beautiful. Everything we needed. We will be back!!

Paradise found

This treasure is just what I wanted to celebrate a wedding anniversary and birthday. Large beautiful and tranquil room just steps from the beach: we literally opened the door and walked to the chaise lounges with umbrellas where we stayed all day. I could not have asked for more. Delicious juice concoctions available along with other goodies on the menu. Service was superb and it was easy to either have dinner on site or close by. This place is for those of you looking for a quieter, more peaceful experience in the Colibri family. I would go back in a heartbeat! Highly recommended!! .

Honeymoon

Me and my husband stayed here for the first five nights of our two week honeymoon in Tulum and couldn’t have wished for a better start to our trip. We had a beautiful ocean view room and upon arrival a bottle of sparkling wine was waiting for us in the room. The room was tastefully decorated, clean and the view as breathtaking every morning. On our terrace there was also a hammock in which we laid and took in the views. At early mornings and sunsets the bay almost becomes a bird sanctuary with tens of pelicans circling and diving for their fish - it’s incredibly relaxing to watch. Each evening we received a complimentary tea service that was left in the room for us and every morning a thermos of coffee was waiting outside the door. The staff were incredibly helpful and friendly. Every day they made sure to check that we were happy with everything and always happy to assist with anything to make our stay more pleasant. We had breakfast included in the room and it was very good, you could tell that everything from the guacamole to juice was made fresh to order. We only ate from the restaurant during the day once, and we had the most amazing fried fish on our sunbeds by the beach. The only reason we chose not to have dinner in the restaurant was because it was very quiet with families eating early and the restaurant shutting at 10pm. We absolutely loved our stay and can highly recommend El Pez to anyone after some relaxation in an otherwise pretty busy place. Other beach clubs and restaurants are within walking distance or a short cab ride if you still want to explore the livelier parts of Tulum. Special thanks to Siema, Jesús, Juan Carlos, Jorge and all of the staff who helped make our stay as memorable as it was.…

beautiful hotel, amazing food and staff

my husband and I decided to get away for a few days for a relaxing vacation. This was my first time in Mexico. From the moment we got there we were stunned at how beautiful the hotel and views were. We had the beach front room...you are literally right on the beach with a beautiful view and hammock on the balcony so relaxing. The food at the hotel restaurant was AMAZING! It was quiet and relaxing we enjoyed every moment. Also, the staff there is so nice, welcoming, and treat you great. I would highly recommend this hotel we will definitely be back. What a great experience!

A perfect stay!!

What’s not to like?? The location on a picturesque cove is amazing, literally just steps from the water. The hotel itself is beautifully designed and rooms are so comfortable; the bed felt like sleeping on a cloud. The many extras such as the welcome cocktail, the bottle of sparkling wine on ice, the turn-down service and freshly brewed coffee delivered to our door at sunrise set the El Pez far above the competition. But the El Pez’s greatest asset is its staff - the service is truly exemplary. Denisse at the reception desk handled our last minute reservation so efficiently and her colleague Seima gave us such a genuinely warm welcome at check-in the next day - muchas gracias!! Our servers Jesus and Edzon were wonderful, too. Highly recommended!!

HI, We are looking at El Pez for possible booking. Can you swim right off the beach? It looks very rocky? Are the loungers on the beach I only see them on the grounds?

Hello Mr Waltez Indeed the beach has some rocks, but that has never deterred our guests from enjoying a wonderful swim in our "close to private" bay. We do have loungers right on the beach, as well as on our newly renovated swimming pool for your enjoyment. Regarding the mentioned seaweed, this phenomenon affects the entrire caribbean, and all the beaches on the region. At this moment, for example, our beaches are in pristine condition. Nonetheless, as soon as it arrives to our beach, we have dedicated personnele, and machinery to clean it immediately. Good day, Our boutique hotel El Pez is not under an All-inclusive format, I have not been able to find where does Tripadvisor mention it is and have not been able to locate it. I suggest you can check our website for our menus so you can get an idea of the prices of our food and beverage and calculate what you would spend on a day per person and compare it to your budget.
