My husband and I just returned from our week long stay at Nueva Vida de Ramiro and I just can not say enough good things about this wonderful place. The grounds are absolutely gorgeous and the beach is spotless, quiet, and breathtaking. The water was so warm and so blue!! We stayed in the La Ola suite right on the...

Beautiful place, reasonably priced for the quality, fantastic service, and very eco-friendly. The grounds are nice and natural and they have a turtle hatchery on their beach and house rangers who help protect the green turtles that nest on the beach. Theirs was just about the only place along the whole stretch of beach that actually kept lights off and...

Nueva Vida is the first eco lodge that we've stayed at. Perhaps our experience there is typical of these types of establishments. The location is perfect. And Tulum is a very special place: small, great food, very arts-centric scene. But our cabana at Nueva Vida was claustrophobic and dark. Presumably because of the Eco-friendly angle there were hardly any lights...

Dear StarNing: We are so sorry to hear you did not have a good experience with us and a little surprised you found your bungalow to be claustrophobic. Yes, you might find compared to regular hotels that the lights are dim, the main reasons is because our power is generated by solar panels, but specifically in the beachfront bungalows the...

Stayed at this Hotel with a large birthday group. The cottages are incredibly whimsical, and the hotel service is friendly and helpful. The whole experience felt intimate and comfortable. Be prepared though, this is an eco-village, so don't expect air conditioning, or access to power strips for drying your hair everyday. However, they can provide boosts to power for special...

I held my wedding at Nueva Vida, and filled most of the cabanas for a week with my friends and family. The service was extremely friendly, and they filled the week with extra details that really helped make it an incredible trip. Things like delivering special welcome gifts to all our guests, offering us delicious juices when we arrived for...

we researched a lot to choose the place in Tulum and this was a very good choice. The hotel is super, very well done, very clean and the beach is awesome, really one of the best beaches. Importantly the beach is always empty: the hotels in Tulum aren't that big, so there isn't enough people staying in the area. This...

Dear globetrotteri: Thank you for a wonderful and descriptive review. We do take pride that even though march is peak high season and the hotel was completely booked, it maintains the clamness and privacy guests strive for to disconnect from city life. Do not hesitate to contact us if you shall want to return, we can recommend you the best...

We wanted to get out of New York in mid-May, and searched the internet for a Tulum site. We couldn't have chosen better! There are dozens of villas along a 10-20 mile stretch of the Tulum beach, just a few miles south of the ocean-side Mayan site, and Nueva Vida proved perfect. Quiet, peaceful, tranquil, with clean, comfortable villas. All...

Nueva Vida de Remiro is a very nice ecolodge with a variety of villas offered. This was our first visit to the region. The beach is beyond wonderful, and a very nice breakfast is included at the restaurant/bar across the street. We travelled in the first half of May and elected to rent the only unit with a kitchen. Unfortunately,...

Beautiful beach side villas, great restaurant and centrally located! Friendly staff. Good food. Serene surroundings with natural beauty. Lovely natural toiletries provided! Private but close to lots. I would defiantly stay here again.

So, you can read my review about Piedra Escondido, where we had quite the noisy and restless experience. NVR is the opposite -- totally peaceful and tranquil. All you can hear at night is the ocean waves and all you can see is endless beach and endless sea. (PE has an enclosed beach) The highlights or NVR are manifold: first...
