We didn't stay at the hotel, but our complimentary breakfast was served here. Staff is really friendly and service is fast. The breakfast is prepared well and there is lots to choose from. The omelettes are tasty and the homemade bread is very nice aswell. The prices are very low, given the service and quality.

I went to this nice little hotel from January 7th till 28th and I had a pro room which is not the standard one but the superior. I was very satisfied in a lot of points. First this hotel is in a perfect location, closed enough to the 5th avenue, restaurants, bars, entertainment and the beach of course, but far...

So central but far enough away from noisy crowds. Set in a little street only a few hundred metres from bus station, 5th Avenue and beach. Rooms were spacious and comfortable with ceiling fans (an upgrade gets your conditioning). The hotel is built around a small cost yard with swimming pool and breakfast is served in the cafe/bar area facing...

This hotel is just far enough from 5th avenue to let you get a good sleep and enjoy a quite drink in the bar. Playa del Carmen can be disappointing if looking for a Mexican experience but this hotel will allow you avoid the big brand US and European stores on restaurants on 5th. If flying from Cancun, the hotel...

I chose this hotel after large research in internet and wasn´t disappointed. I have room with kitchenette and AC (no 9) If you are budget traveler, kitchenette with accessories is nice option. You also can choose room without kitchenette or cabana. Separated inside and outside units of AC makes less noise, I noticed that it is valuable investment for good...

We chose Casa Tucan on a friends recommendation. Just one night as a stop on our way to Belize. It's a nice place, very affordable. Very loud though. The restaurant wasn't great but cheap and it's close to lots of other bars and restaurants.

Stayed 3 days here before starting a tour. Great location to everything. The rooms are clean and simple. When you are out and about doing things and only need to a good bed, shower and secure place for your things this place is good. The breakfast is nice and reasonable priced. Staff really friendly and helpful.

Casa Tucan dates back to the 1980's, when Playa del Carmen first got on the map for holiday seekers. It is still a good venue for travelers on a budget. From the hotel, it's a two block walk to the beach and the bus station. La Mission, an excellent restaurant with a spectacularly cheap 'Comida del Dia' menu from two...

This place is super well located, three blocks from the beach and two blocks away from the main 5th Avenue. Economic prices. The staff is very nice and explain you everything about payments, amenities and all. The rooms are good and every one has a conceptual decoration. The bathroom is very clean and apparently with new tiles, though most of...

Nice hotel with shades pool area, clean rooms and nice staff. Great location! Huts don't have air-con and it gets very humid and stuffy inside the rooms/hut and much hotter than outside temperature. Leaky roof- Our hut leaked water from roof onto bed whenever it rained so ask for a room with AC (extra US$10 p/n) and a proper roof....
