Our stay was the most comfortable, stayed for 8 days and everything from the room to the staff was exceptional, anything you needed the staff was there always with a smile, would definitely recommend it and will come back in the future, a mention to Axel from entertainment and Je

booked two days at the Reef Playacar basically on a tour to assess as many all inclusive resorts in Playacar as one can achieve in a two week period as a solo fun loving Canadian... lol

sadly my stay although ultra economical at the Reef was slightly less entertaining than a tri

Beautiful place close to the 5th ave of Playa del Carmen. The whole staff very friendly. food delicious, room very clean

An excellent experience! We had our wedding here and it was a wonderful day. Carolina took care of everything perfectly. Also, Be sure to sit in Paulino's section when having breakfast he's the hardest working waiter i've ever seen.

I am currently at the resort, it is a nice, small all inclusive; hotel staff is super friendly and you get the same as every average all inclusive in Playa.
The only complaint is that the time share people bother you sooo much, every time I walk into the lobby at least one of th

Sea grass/sargassum—anyone know if it generally dissipates during the winter months? We are booked for early January. Sounds like it’s changing all the time—lots of pics I’ve seen the water looks murky even on “better days”. I am following the Facebook page also.
It is “sargasso seaweed updates riviera maya”.

24 hr snack bar available?
How is the nightlife at The Reef? Is there a night club in the resort?
I found the nightlife pretty mellow at the resort. I ended up getting taxis and going downtown Playa on several nights.

I will be staying in a private home in Playacar Phase 2 for 2 weeks in a few days. Can I get in to The Reef FOR FREE to use the pool, if I do not eat any of the food, or will I have to pay $50 with my pass whether I eat the food or not?
I doubt they let anyone use the pool for free... I'm pretty sure you have to buy the day pass, but I think you should check directly with them...
