At first glance this was a little rough. The toilet seat was too small for the toilet, bathroom wall was crumbling near the faucet, electrical covers missing, the room was dimly lit, etc. Not a great first impression. However the bed was great, A/C worked great, location was perfect. There is a very nice inexpensive restaurant across the street where...

I have stayed at hotels and hostels all over the world and this was by far the worst. I arrived at 1PM and asked if my room was ready. The man at the front desk said yes but would not let me in the room until 3pm. I asked why and he was rude and kept on repeating that check...

We stayed at this hotel in dec 2013 and it was the worst hotel of our lives! The sheets were stainned, the floor was dirty, there was dirt everywhere, the bathroom was ugly and full os stains (see the photos below)! The room was humid, and had fungus everywhere! We just returned from Playa Del Carmen for New Year's and stayed at the Playa Suites from Dec 26-Jan 2. 2013/2014. This was a clean and a very friendly staff (Alberto & female didn't get her name) but very nice... So were the other gentlemen. We stayed in room 4, very simple and basic, clean and great if you just...

This place is affordable for those who really don't plan to stay all day at the hotel and just need a place to sleep. We really liked their friendly staff and their room service! This hotel is great for those of you who are more adventurous and are out and about all day long. Great to sleep, since it does...

This hotel is located a block away from the hustle and bustle of 5th Ave, not only giving it a great location close to many shops and restaurants, but also far enough away for it to be quiet as well. It is also a short walk to the beach, and has an OXXO (convenience store) right downstairs. We were staying...

Location: Great. Close to the beach and Quinta Avenida. Everything else: Disappointing. The room was clean, but dismal, depressing, and dingy, with broken furniture and wall decorations that seemed to be hiding some kind of scary construction issues. There were no extra pillows or blankets. No hand towels, and we had to share one bath towel (eww). This "suite" had...

The walk to the square is full of busses, fumes and so many people getting on and off the buses that it is impossible to walk through it. Not a nice street to try to walk. I took a lot of taxix. Hotel is beautiful.

pros: -extremely well located -low price -clean -comfortable bed cons: -poor water pressure in shower -noisy and old air conditioner -ugly rooms, just 4 walls, no decor at all. -rude front desk clerk -Towels small, worn and ripped. BUT if you are in a budget and this is your best choice for the price, take it! otherwise, look for something...

The rooms are clean, it's very close to 5th ave. really nice, honest people at the front desk. If your plan is to go explore the ruins and cenotes, and you need a place to sleep and shower, this is a great, inexpensive option.
