All I have to say is, **The Allegro Playacar ** was our worst nightmare. As a Travel Agent I have to tell you do not stay @ this property...I'll not even attempt to sell this property to my clients. The front desk people were very rude, ignored you every time we had a complaint, the food was the worst, ,...

Good shows (nightly), staff, and food. The beach was still under repair from the hurricane so that sucked. We had to cab into Playa del Carmen to swim in the ocean. They have fun games everyday ex:drinking contests, horseshoes, ping pong tournament, etc. Overall this place is really good. I recommend it to everyone.

We recently returned from an 8 night stay at the Allegro, We were quite concerned as what to expect after reading the reviews on trip advisor. On arrival we checked in without any problems, we did however request a second floor room . However after reading some of the reviews about the thatched roofs leaking we didnt bother to complain...

May i just explain what happened to us there? My family and friends went to this resort for our wedding. My fiance (at that time) and i have little children who came with us. Our group were suppose to be together including our children having rooms next to us (adjoining rms) ----The resort separated every single one of us, with...

The hotel setting is phenomenal and the grounds are very well maintained. It's about a 15-20 minute walk down the beach to 'La Qunita', the shopping district. The staff was friendly and the bar was failry well-stocked for an all-inclusive. However, the buffet was very dissappointing, a dreaded affair most days. The buffet dining area was also hot and humid....

Hello! I am writing a review about our stay at Allegro playacar because I believe people should have a CLEAR idea what they are getting themselves into before booking. Overall my stay was ok, the beach made up for all the encounters and upsetting moments I endured during my stay. For starters, The hotel is NOT, I repeat IS NOT...

We checked into our room and instantly called to try and change rooms due to no air in the room. It was hotter inside the room than outside. The bed was actually damp due to the humidity and the guy at the front desk sent a kid with a screw driver and ladder up to "fix" the ac unit. After...

Food is mediocre at best. The only good food was in "The Mexican". The buffet lacked imagination and flavor. It was very difficult for our vegetarian to find even rice dishes that did not have meat in them. Staff really does not care about your well being. Most requests were met with attitude and rarely a smile. They had my...

I've stayed at the Allegro Cozumel in 2009, this hotel is basically an exact copy of that one, but with a lot better and new Playa del Carmen Plumbing. (When I stayed in Allegro Cozumel the sinks and showers shot dirt out) Staff - 5 stars always helpful and very nice, completely polite other than the beach probably the best...

The good - in random order 1) The food and resturant staff was excellent! We were a bit concerned about the quality of the food here, for our past experience with buffets in all-inclusive resorts was less than good. But here we really did not need to worry! The food was really great, tasty, varied and plentiful! 2) Great roomservice....
