Once again, the Grand Velas does not disappoint. Very safe Covid practices through out the resort. Every venue was clean and well spaced. The food was excellent in all of the restaurants. The service is that of a 5 star hotel. Thanks to Oscar, our concierge, who was always available for anything....dinner reservations, Covid test to fly home. He was very easy to work with. All of our servers in the restaurants were efficient and pleasant. Felix had my coffee ready every morning. He was so professional and friendly. Thanks again for a wonderful week away.

We usually vacation at Grand Velas Riviera Maya once or twice a year but haven’t been able to visit due to Covid travel restrictions. We finally received our vacinne and made this our first destination. There is not a resort any more first class than this one. Every staff member is focused on the comfort and well being of the guests. The property and amenities are all top notch. I had a corporate event here back in 2017 and we brought in about 110 of our top clients and spouses, some of whom were not easy to please and every one of them had nothing but praise for the resort and staff. On this recent trip, Carolina was our concierge and did a tremendous job. Also kudos to Nora, Gabriel and Beatrize on the beach and around the pool for not letting us want for anything! One small disappointment on this trip were little children in the adult pool. I understand Covid has created some difficulties so maybe this was a one off. You can feel confident that your vacation will be the very best if you book Grand Velas Riviera Maya.

Grand Velas is the best!!! Carolina our concierge did an excellent job. Everything we needed was done in timely manner. She went above and beyond our expectations. Our family of four had best vacation ever and this is our 10th time coming to Mexico. Huge THANK YOU to Carolina our concierge and Daniel from teen club and all the other staff members on this property! We will be coming back for sure.

We have had the opportunity to travel all over the world and we had never encountered a hotel that had it all... until we came to Grand Velas Riviera Maya. The first thing we were told upon our arrival was "welcome home" and since then, our experience just kept getting better and better. I would dare to say that their 4 restaurants are world-class: Lucca, Frida, Piaf, and Cocina de Autor. In the latter, we had the best meal of our lives, a completely shocking and different experience but extremely delicious. The beach was clean all day, as the hotel and rooms, despite having a lot of stones in the sea, you could easily just sit on the seashore and relax all day long. Everyone is extremely courteous and makes sure you have everything you need, we never heard a "no" for an answer, they even got us some things they didn't have at the hotel! (they helped us purchase a birthday present and decorated our room with balloons, glasses, wine, and chocolate-covered strawberries as a surprise) We do believe this hotel is created by all those that put their heart into it every single day and we would like to particularly congratulate and thank Edgar, Mayra, and David at the Bistro, Ricardo and Angel for our amazing dinners in Piaf/Cocina de Autor, Jerónimo at Lucca, Asley at Frida, and our bellboy Alejandro! Thanks for making our stay one-of-a-kind. We can totally say that we have found our favorite hotel to stay, not only at Riviera Maya but worldwide. We will go back soon! Fam. García Rivera

We have been to this resort many times, but have stayed home because of covid for the past year. It has always been our favorite place in the world for beautiful views, delicious food, and outstanding service. Everything you could want is included so you can relax and enjoy yourself during your stay. This includes basically any food you could want at any time of day or night and most drinks too. Pool bars, pool side wait staff, ocean side wait staff, room service, casual restaurants, buffets, and formal restaurants. There are even snacks in the spa. Just in case eating isn't your ONLY vacation priority, they also have a piano bar, karaoke, teens club, kids club, non motorized sports and various activities each day. This is more of a relaxing hotel than an entertainment venue, but I feel like they do a good job keeping paradise from feeling boring for anyone that needs some daily activities. Then covid happened and my family (spouse + 2 young kids) have been stuck in our house for a year. We have taken covid very seriously, and are finally venturing out now that my husband and I are vaccinated. I was incredibly impressed with how very *normal* the hotel was able to make life feel while we were there. All of the staff wear medical masks and face shields and everything in the hotel is cleaned frequently. They encourage hand sanitizer, shoe sanitizer, social distancing, and masks for the guests, but they no longer require it strictly. I would estimate that half of the guests wore masks while we were there (including us), but it was also very easy to stay a safe distance away since the hotel is so large and they are not booking to capacity yet. They provided hand sanitizer in each room and a packet of sanitizing wipes for guests among a million other small things to help encourage effortless healthy choices. Also, they provided easy onsite covid testing, which the US currently requires for re-entry. I was amazed to find out that the hotel was hit by 2 hurricanes and a tropical storm last season. They have fixed all visible damage to the ocean areas, though the beach is a little shorter in areas, but I believe they are still working to fix the jungle/zen area before they reopen. In the meantime, the Spa is still open and amazing. Even if you don't do a full treatment, it's worth it to go to the Water Ritual through their facilities and really relax. I am so excited that I get to return to paradise again and that my family was able to travel safely to this resort!!
