Hotel Julamis was the perfect place for my wife and me to rest and relax during our 4-day trip to Merida. Upon our arrival, Alex, the owner, spent time giving us an extensive overview of the area using a map and provided several dining recommendations. I highly suggest taking his recommendations. My wife and I really enjoyed the food in...

Hotel Julamis is wonderful! It's small, intimate, and feels more like staying at a B&B than a hotel. Alex shared wonderful breakfasts, recommended things to do around the city, and just overall made our stay pretty much perfect. Be aware that they do not accept credit cards.

We have just returned from a nine night stay in the Suite Colonial at Hotel Julamis and we could not have been happier. Our little suite had everything we needed to be comfortable for an extended stay. The sitting room is comfortably furnished and has a little table and chairs for light meals en suite. The kitchenette has a good...

Alex was a great host. This is is a clean and quiet small hotel that offered us everything we needed. The breakfasts were excellent, and I enjoyed the plunge pool a couple times after returning from a hot day of site seeing. The WiFi service was also good. I would not hesitate to return.

This will be a short review as this great facility has been the subject of numerous reviews already. Second visit and new owners. The change of ownership has not, I am pleased to report, harmed the ambience nor the overall experience; if anything it is even better. This is a great place with a terrifically helpful ownership. The breakfasts are...

We had an amazing stay here. The hotel is incredibly quiet and well-located, close to all the major sites of Merida. There is easy on-street parking. The rooms are beautifully appointed--particularly with gorgeous tiles and hand-painted murals (by a Cuban artist, I believe). Breakfast is delicious--made by the owner of the hotel, Alex, who is a chef! Alex also made...

We had a wonderful stay at Hotel Julamis. The hosts are very welcoming, knowledgeable about the area, and super friendly. The hotel is very charming and cozy and at a great price. The complimentary 3 course breakfast alone is worth the stay!

I wish I could have stayed a month! This is THE only hotel you should stay in in Merida. Our room was huge and very clean. The hotel is beautifully decorated and located about 10-15 minutes walk from the center of town. In the evenings, there were lit candles thoughout, which gave it a special ambiance. The bed was very...

Hotel Julamis is a comfortable retreat after a day exploring the city. Merida is very walkable and Hotel Julamis is centrally situated for museums and restaurants. The roof top patio is a lovely place to escape the heat and relax with a cerveza in the afternoon...a good place to stay if you are interested in meeting other travelers. The host,...
