Merida is an exciting, vibrant city and this small, friendly hotel is perfectly located in the historic centre, about 5 blocks from the main square. Like other reviewers we adored having breakfast in the pretty courtyard garden beside the pool and relaxing on a sun bed after sightseeing. The owner and his staff are so friendly and helpful. Restaurants, excursions,...

We stayed 2 nights. Sadly the weather was overcast and even chilly so we didn't sit out in the evening or use the fantastic pool. Rooms were beautiful. Breakfast was in the lovely little garden and was very nice. The staff were delightful.

We stayed here for a total of two nights just before Christmas, but how we wish it could have been longer. It's no exaggeration to say this hacienda is a little slice of paradise and sitting by the pool drinking one of the many cocktails on offer felt like being in an issue of Vogue. The hotel is intimate with just 8 rooms. It is beautifully appointed. The staff was tremendously helpful and friendly. Located just blocks from the main plaza, it is very walkable and convenient to many plazas and attractions. Draws visitors from all over the world so it was interesting to interact with different nationalities.

Merida is an amazing city, but when you're travelling in any busy town it's nice to have a refuge where you can escape the hectic activity of the town. For us, Hotel Hacienda Merida provided this perfectly. The courtyard pool area is the real gem of the hotel which is idyllic by day and by night when lit up, sitting...
