Ten years ago my wife and I spent part of our honeymoon at Casa Esperanza. We even extended our stay there because we loved it so much. A lot has changed in 10 years . . . First of all: we take full responsibility for not doing more research on how Merida has changed in the last 10 years, and...

Our stay at this B&B was fun, comfortable, romantic and great value. Close to everything. Pool was the best after a hot day hiking the ruins and after dinner in the evening. A/C was a great thing to have and ceiling fan. All our needs were met by the owner who was so good to us, thanks Sergio! Pets were...

Loved our 2 week stay. The perfect fix for two very busy couples. We arrived quite late. Taxi went smoothly. Greeted by Sergio, our charming host! He had a cold beer waiting for us. We went on several day trips, arranged by Sergio, loved Uxmal the most. Highly recommend it, very interesting historically, our guide was awesome. Really likes the...

For a first rate authentic Mexican experience in the thriving historic city of Merida look no further than Casa Esperanza. I recently stayed for a week on a much needed break. The hotel is nicely situated in the central district and is within easy walking distance to the main city square. A wonderful bustling location on Sunday's when the whole...

We stayed at BB Casa Esperanza for approximately seven days on a needed vacation, we were sold on this place after reading some of the reviews, comments and pictures. Unfortunately for us it was a disappointment! Location: not too bad, close to the historic district and tourist areas around the neighborhood. Transportation: was good close by and lots of walking....

Of course we came back. Our first experience was so fun, we had to experience it again. It was just a mini vacation this time. I had to get away with my hubby and Sergio and the pups didn't disappoint. Again the room was wonderful, clean and air conditioned. Our drink was waiting for us when we arrived and Sergio...

The house is in a quiet street, only a few blocks from the Zocalo and not far from the main market. I was hot and tired when I arrived at Casa Esperanza; the door was opened by Sergio the owner and I was ushered into an oasis of loveliness. This is a private house, colonial and on a huge scale...

Thank you Sergio for our stay at your lovely home. We enjoyed your charming home so much, I wish I could live there. It really is a tropical oasis in the middle of the city. Our room was very nice and beautifully decorated. Thank you so much for the lovely breakfasts.

We stayed a week at Esperanza with Sergio and all the pets and were extremely happy. In a restored colonial mansion it's a laid back place, which is exactly what we like. Only a five minute walk to the very center of town but it is very quiet. The ensuite rooms are private and beautifully decorated, the bed very comfortable....

I stayed with my partner and we absolutely loved it. I know one reviewer below complained about the animals and the smell but for us the animals made our trip even better. The dogs and cats are very cute and Sergio makes sure he cleans up after them as soon as possible. The B&B is charming, the central courtyard and...
