If you are looking for a hidden gem in Merida, then this is the place for you! Walking distance from the town centre & paseo de montejo, this beautiful colonial home oozes class all round. Carlos & Martha were amazing hosts & characters - from sharing his stories & local suggestions, we felt right at home. Breakfast was gourmet, surrounds... More

We booked the Chile Habanero room for a couple of nights, but due to the delicious breakfast and the excellent service and quality, we decided to stay 2 more nights. We really recommend you guys to stay here, Carlos & Martha will make sure you have the best stay. P.D. They also offered us to drop us at the bus... More

My family and I went to Merida and found Carlos and his mother to be the most welcoming of host. They were available day or night (regardless of time), they accommodated my family of 7 within a reasonable price. The best breakfast you will have at any B&B. Just ask for pancakes and you will not be disappointed. The location... More

Since our first stay in this B&B last year, we come back to Casa Don Alfredo each time we go to Merida and we always appreciate the place and the very friendly owners Marta and Carlos. They always try to satisfy our wishes and can answer most of our questions about Merida (good restaurants, museums, ...). This hotel is a... More

No one expects luxury for USD45 per night (with air conditioning) BUT this is YMCA accomodation. The mother and son team are wonderful, but they need to invest in the bed and breakfast to bring it up to standard.

My husband and I stayed in this beautiful century old B&B from December 23 to December 26 this year. We could not have expected any better staying place in this busy little colonial and Mayan town. It is a huge 'casa' with lavish entrance and real fruits and flowers (not plastic) all over its premises. The guest lodging is located... More

This place was such a great find! We came through Merida twice on a recent trip with my mother. The first time we stayed at Nomadas Youth Hostel and the second time here at Don Alfredos. I liked Nomadas, but this place was so much better value for money, not to mention you're taken care of by a friendly mother/son... More

My sister and i thoroughly enjoyed our time at casa don alfredo. For us the best part were the hosts: carlos and martha. Both are so lovely, well-mannered, kind, generous, understanding and accommodating. If there is anything they can do for you, you just need to ask and they will act immediately. The breakfast is sooo good. Martha really can... More

We chose Casa Don Alfredo based on previous Tripadvisor reviews and we were not disappointed! We spent 4 days at this lovely guest house and we could not ask for a better stay. We were greeted warmly on arrival by the son who spoke perfect english. He provided a wealth of information on what to see around Merida, a list... More

We planned to stay here 2 nights but ended up staying for 3. This is a great place to stay in Merida. Carlos and Martha are helpful and friendly. Carlos picked us up from and took us back to the bus station, though location is great and bus station is easily walking distance. Also only a short walk from the... More
