The place is very neatly kept - rooms as spacious and very classy. The staff is excellent without sacrificing the privacy. Great choice for a romantic getaway - or simply, an out of the ordinary stay.

We cannot rate our stay at Casa Azul highly enough. The hotel is in a stunning colonial building with a wonderful courtyard and features exquisite colonial furniture and interiors. Service is second to none and the management of this hotel has taken attention to detail to a whole new level. Service here can be easily compared to that of five...

This is a stunning beautiful hotel full of colonial grandeur and a real oasis in buzzing Merida. The central courtyard was impecably tended and our room was large and luxurious. However, there were a few points which let this hotel down: (a) Location: This is partly my fault but when I booked, I hadn't appreciated how far this hotel was...

Caza Azul is a one of a kind hotel with authentic antiques making it part of the collection Hotels Tesoros de Mexico "treasures of Mexcio" I don't know how the Titanic was on first class but I bet it was something similar to the feel you get at Casa Azul. The staff just ready to help in whatever there is...

This is a lovely property. The furnishings both in the rooms and on the patio successfully evoke the Mexico of the late nineteenth century. Everything is beautifully kept. The rooms are big. And although the hotel sits at a busy street corner, all is quiet. Breakfast is superb. We spent three nights here. It was early in the week and...

A quiet sanctuary in a historical mansion that has been beautifully and authentically restored to the stature of its colonial days. The most comfortable beds we've slept on in recent memory and luxurious suites with all amenities. From the moment you walk up the front steps and enter Casa Azul, you are greeted by warm and attentive staff who cater...

My partner and I attended his niece's wedding Merida, and we stayed at Casa Azul for the long weekend of the wedding. The hotel couldn't have been any better. The henequen bodega has been exquisitely restored and is stunning. The interior is so beautiful and quiet. We stayed in San Ildefonso suite and found it comfortable with good air conditioning,...

Casa Azul is a beautiful converted colonial mansion full of antique furnishings. It is located about 20 minutes walk from Merida's main plaza. We found it to be a peaceful haven with a small outdoor pool and courtyard gardens where meals are served. From there we went on trips to Celestun Biosphere Reserve where we saw lots of Pink flamingoes,...

We agree with all the all the positive comments that the Casa Azul has received and the house provides a clean, relaxing, welcoming and safe environment from which to enjoy Merida. In particular we would highlight the comfortable beds, the stylish courtyard setting, the attentive staff, and the good breakfast. So, having said all this, why is our overall rating...
