Breakfast was very mediocre and accommodation adequate. We felt the cost was a bit high for this hostel. Everything else was very good such as quietness, location, and security. The pool didn't appear that clean nor the furniture in the common area.

This hostel is simply a treasure in the city center of merida. The cheapest you'll find with the best location. The staff is super nice, and Mariana is the best host! I feel sad that the picture don't show the really nice and beautiful rooms they have. The best place to meet really nice people, and enjoy the two beautiful...

This was my frist experience in a shared room and traveling solo and it was great. The hostel is well located, the staff is very attentive, and the people I met there was fantastic. The room had everything needed, a fan and a bed and there were no mosquitos in the room. It‘s a good place to go alone since...

Without being able to name anything that was exceptionally bad, I really can not think of a reason to stay here. The place and it's furniture are old, it lacks any kind of atmosphere and it is in desperate need of a renovation. The room we stayed at was big but not really clean and noisy. Go here if everything...

The cheaper rooms are big, clean but noisy. Big window, but you have to close it at night because of the noise. Its not a place where you would spent your vacation, but if you look for something cheap and still clean, its very good value. The offered breakfast is nothing to talk abaout, but theres hot coffee and drinking water....

I found Hostal Casa Nico by accident, as the other hostels I checked in Merida had no room when I arrived at 11:30pm - I hadn't booked ahead, preferring to just show up and take my chances. Mainly I look for a place that is clean, safe, quiet, and centrally located, anything else is a bonus. All I need a...

This hostel is really CHEAP! We paid 160 pesos for a private -big and clean- room. They have a good equiped kitchen to cook and the breakfast is okay. Its well located but in a VERY noisy street. without earplugs you wont be able to sleep anymore from 5h30 in the morning. I would recommend this hostel for peeple who...

Although Casa Nico is far from an idyllic spot, it's more than OK for the price you pay. It's located right in between the largest bus station and the Plaza Grande. We had a big, fairly clean room with a fan, a decent bed and a lukewarm shower. I do suggest bringing earplugs, because most rooms (including the dorm) are...
