I could repeat all the great comments in all the other reviews,. In short, Jan and Rita could not have been any more gracious. Great breakfast to start the day. Far enough from the main square to be quiet, yet close enough for an easy walk. I felt very safe. Jan, scratch Gio for me!

We stayed for two nights in a superior suite. We were created with a welcome drink and told about the area. The room was beautiful and the bathroom was almost as large as the room! The hosts are brilliant Jan (pronounced Yan) and Rita. They had a welcome hour at 630 for drinks and a snack. They were very helpful...

We've visited Merida many times over the years and stayed at many hotels, big and small, and this was by far the best! A small, 6-room boutique hotel that almost catches you off-guard as the outside is very understated. But was beautifully kept inside. The colors, the decor, tastefully done. The staff was absolutely amazing. They MADE the experience. Every...

We have spent 2.5 weeks in Yucatan in mid November 2016. Our trip was devided into 7 days of extensive travelling on the Yucatan peninsula in our rental car and another 9 days in big luxury resorts on Cozumel and in Playa del Carmen for scuba diving and quality beach time. The a hotel Merida Santiago caught our attention on...

We stayed for 3 nights at the Hotel Merida Santiago and had an absolutely fantastic time. The hotel is very nice - the room was spacious, well appointed, and had a huge updated bathroom. There is a nice pool in the courtyard (great for a dip after/during the sweltering heat and humidity in the Yucatan). The size of the hotel...

Small few rooms boutique hotel in the central part of Merida. The owners are really what sets this place apart. Jan and Rita are very friendly and attentive to any needs as well as providing color and information on Merida, Mexican and Yucatan culture, beauties and so much more. A pity we had arranged to only spend one night in...

Wonderful small, six rooms, boutique hotel near the town center. The neighbored is safe and you can walk to the town center at night. The room (King Suite with Private Terrace and Pool View) was large and well furnished, with a safe and a mini-bat with free water, sodas and beers. The bathroom was large and comfortable. There is a...

I highly recommend this place. I stayed for a couple of nights with my sister in a room that had two double beds, a hammock, and a hot tub in the bathroom! The rooms are lovely, air-conditioned and modern. The staff are really helpful and friendly. They helped to order taxis for us, book bus tickets, and recommended some great...

We stayed in all kinds of places around the Yuicatan and this was definitely our favourite. We were here for two nights and this hotel is really a perfect example of what a boutique hotel shopuld be. Firstly its a small hotel with just 6 rooms. Upon arrival you are offered a welcome drink. Unlike in other place a welcome...

Dear Eoin, it was great to have you both as our guests and we are very happy to read that you had a wonderful stay with us and that we were your favorite hotel in your trip to Yucatan. What an amazing compliment that the meal you had in our restaurant beats the number two restaurant of whole Merida. Happy...

A truly perfect three night stay, in every way. Signposts on the street made the hotel easy to find. We were greeted graciously on our arrival and given helpful tips about the hotel and environs. Our second floor suite was spacious and scrupulously clean, as was the entire hotel, including the delightful pool. Our hosts and all the staff were...
