The stuff is very friendly and always tries to help if it is necessary. The breakfast is included and amazing, with bread, cereals, fruits, coffee, eggs if you wish... It's also great located in a really nice historical building! We enjoyed our stay in this hostel in Merida and recomand it to other travellers!!

I came for a backpacking trip around Mexico for 3 months, i stayed in zocalo for 3 nights. It is brilliantly located in the center of Mérida aside the cathedral and the palacio. Very economical for travelers, they provide WiFi, good breakfast, hot showers, staff are friendly and helpful. Excellent place to meet new friends to experience the Mérida nightlife....

Super friendly staff in one of Merida's most important historical buildings make this place a really nice place to stay for a day or two that can easily slip into a week or more. The energy created by its owner and staff makes for a super environment in the heart of this beautiful city. Many thanks to all at the...

Dropped by in Mérida at 4 am without reservation and luckely we were happy enough to stroll into this wonderful place! The breakfast is amazing and in addition with the outstandingly friendly staff it made us stay for 3 days more than planned in the end. Location is great and the hygiene fits international standards. Fully recommended!

Pros: Excellent location, excellent breakfast, excellent staff, beautiful building. Cons: very run down (one light bulb in the corner of the room, broken "lock" on balcony doors, worn out furniture) bathrooms are far from some rooms, toilets don't flush well. I still recommend this place because the pros far outweigh the cons, but this place could be so unbelievably beautiful...

Hostel is in a prime location with really good staff, breakfast and rooms. But the male bathroom really needs some attention, as there is only half a shower curtain covering the toilets.... at one point not even that, it's not a pretty sight walking into the bathrooms with another guest using the facilities. The young man on the front desk...

It's hard to believe that at this price, you can stay right along the Plaza Grande. With a killer heladoria (ice cream store) next door, you can walk down the spiral staircase, grab a tamarind paleta (popsicle) and stroll through the beautiful plaza. The hosts were friendly and the huge breakfast of fruit, yogurt, local honey, coffee, eggs, and warm...

Very nice hostel. No bunkbeds in the dorms, but individual beds! (also private rooms available) :) Very clean facilities, helpful and friendly staff, spacious common area, delicious and huge breakfast, central location right at the main square. Only the bathroom/shower facilities could be refurbished a bit. No warm water when I was there. The 'abuelo' of the host family even...
