Poc-Na is a great hostel. We stayed in a private room (fan and no toilet) but it was spacious, light, nice and cozy. It was close to the toilets and showers, so no big deal about going around in the middle of the night for a pee. The vibe is amazing in the place, the staff working there could not...

The pattern sea to be that everyone who wants to stay at a hostel chooses Poc-na while on Isla. We followed the herd but will go elsewhere next time (there are several other small hostels on the island). This place is physically great with clean spacious rooms, good bathrooms, great location with a beautiful bay out front, a great breach...

I have trouble describing my feelings for this place. So at risk of looking like a fool, I'll go ahead and write them all here. I only ask forgiveness for my gabbing: At Pocna, they have some great cerves as -- Victoria, Sol, and others whose names I forget. Unlike in Tallum, there is no seaweed. But the smoking hot...

I had lots of fun here, but Pocna has it issues! Good: awesome location, great set up with hammocks etc, staff are knowledgable and helpful, great for a party Bad: rooms aren't the cleanest, wifi doesn't work that well, gets super hot even with aircon. It's hard to sleep if you don't want to party. Overall I had a great...

Yes the hostel is good, by the means of layout and the outside area with the hammocks - although because of the size of the place it's hard to meet people outside of your dorm rooms. Other hostels you are kind of forced to talk to people and make friends - here it was a bit hard to approach. I...

This hostel is totally overrated! You are not allowed to bring your own drinks (alright like in other hostels) but you are not allowed to bring your own food and "forced" to buy their food or go out. And their food and drinks are not even good backpacker deals!!! The rooms are heated as fu** so that you can rarely...

Poc Na is in a great location, close to the beach with a beach bar and hammocks out back. Every night was a party and they have ridiculous 2 for 1 drink specials before the bar opens. The hostel itself is somewhat large, which comes with pros and cons (lots of people but more tightly-knit groups and a colder social...

My friends and I stayed here a couple of weeks ago and our room was so hot it was unbearable. The room temperature was way hotter than outside - I had to have 2 fans of my face to be able to get even a little bit of sleep. I would definitely recommend staying somewhere with air con or just...

I had truly great time there! Really nice and well located! Range of free activities throughout all day (everyday!) like salsa and spanish lessons, yoga, slack line, volleyball, live music every night! Very friendly and helpful staff! The only problem - rooms without aircon get really hot sometimes. Choose a bottom bed ;)

Mexicos oldest hostel that still ranks among the countries best. Built in the 1950s it is located on Isla Mujeres, a small Caribbean (7km long) island and is 20min from Cancun by boat. This hostel boasts a restaurant and bar that is open until 11pm, after which the real fun begins at the beach bar until 2.45am. Pocna has access to beach volleyball, games room, movies on demand and bikes for rent. We are close to North Beach, which is Isla Mujeres most beautiful beach and Pocna itself is situated right on its own beach that is perfect for relaxing and taking the sun. This exciting hostel offers free activities such as Yoga everymorning, Spanish classes, juggling and what ever happens to be being taught by one of the many talented people that pass through. If you have the talent and the time of at least one month, you can teach an activity and have your cost of your stay covered.Winter time brings on private parties inside the hostel and also bonfire nights with live music and jamming after. Everynight in there is live music in Pocna and the year also brings many high profile bands to play within the walls of Pocna. Those to date include Los Authentico Decadentes, Los Aguas Aguas, No Te Va a Gustar and La Renga with many more in the future plans. An amazing fun and social hostel.
