The hotel location is wonderful - on a deserted beach 20k from downtown Cozumel, with the sound of the waves pounding outside your room at night and a sky full of stars. Turtles come and lay their eggs at night right on the hotel beach,...More

We have not been there in December. it has always been waves when we have been there. Have been told sea is only calm on east side during a norté which only happens during the winter months. So not many days of calm seas at ventanas. However Punta sur is a 20 minute drive south with calm water and good snorkeling most of the time. We love the east side and choose to stay there as much as possible.
