I can't say enough good things about Ventanas al Mar, from the cleanliness of the rooms to the staff. You really just have to go there to experience how wonderful it is. It's secluded, romantic and the ocean views are off the charts. We will be back as soon as we are able. One other thing, make sure Omar makes you a drink, he's the best!

Spent eight nights here in December. The last few reviews are pretty much spot. Miguel was great as always and I enjoyed renewing our old acquaintance again. He’s the man. Support this place and they will be able to make the necessary updates that people would like. Thanks again Miguel and Ricardo.👍

Fantastic service and food. Awesome beaches with few people. Secluded and quiet with no TV's or phones in the rooms. Rustic and beautiful. The staff was very attentive and polite. A great place to go to disconnect.

We have stayed at the Ventanas 4-5 times and really don't want to give it a "3" review but after this last time, we're not entirely sure we will return unless they step it up a notch or 2 on a few things. For starters, Miguel is the main worker and I would give him a solid 10 on a 1-5 scale. He is there EVERY SINGLE DAY. The guy works his tail off and is absolutely amazing. Location: This place is on the "quiet side" on the island, no electricity so it runs on generator. This means the power and AC can be hit and miss. We are actually OK with this. It would be NICE to have solid AC, but really it isn't huge. the breeze you get from being directly on the cliff above the gulf is incredible and why we keep returning! The food: Breakfast is included and is fantastic. We very much enjoy our coffee, breakfast, we usually work for a little while in the lobby...which is where the wifi is. Aqain, not a big deal to not have it in the rooms...I would LIKE to be able to work from my deck, but can live with the wifi in the one area. You will NOT get phone service. They also do dinners at night. VERY good, great service, great prices, can't beat the view, etc. Food is excellent at ventanas. Now for the part I don't want to say but feel like you need to know before you go: They have ONE ROOM (the suite) that has a remodeled bathroom and shower. I've actually THOUGHT I've booked this particular room every single time but have yet to be able to stay in there. It's tricky. "the suite" is $140, and a "King suite" is $120. I've never had it but always pay the $140. I would love to see them upgrade the bathrooms and showers in ALL the rooms...it would make a HUGE difference, especially to help them get repeat business. So with the non-updated showers, last time we stayed we had no hot water...come on...I can do without AC, I can do with hit and miss electricity, I can even deal with a crappy shower but a warm shower is a MUST. Lastly, the bedding and sheets need upgraded. Good sheets, good pillows (and more than 2), a nice mattress topper and comforter is really not too much money. Again, I can deal with no AC, but a warm shower and comfortable bed on vacation is a MUST HAVE. They really have something quite special at the Ventanas and are clearly doing something right as they're always booked. Hope this helps and again, we LOVE this place, would just like to see a few inexpensive upgrades before we return
