This is a great place to unwind and get the real flavor of Mexico. Located by the Airport, but the flights are in the day. You can't really hear the planes anyway. Dan is a gem of a person who will give you all the inside information on what to do on the island. Great fun with a cast of...

Short walk to the Airport. A great deal on mopeds or rental cars right next door. Great place to eat next street over at Diego's. Tv's in every room and coffee ready to go in the mornings. Dan ( the owner) got us mopeds for $20 a day.

We picked Casita de Maya based on the reviews and our desire to gain local knowledge about the best restaurants and activities. We couldn't have made a better choice. Dan was Google on two feet. He pointed us to La Perlita the evening we arrived where we had delicious grilled grouper. For breakfast he recommended Diego's just around the corner....

Our trip was the first time I used Trip Advisor to find a place to stay. The reviews were spot on. Casita de Maya is such a cozy, welcoming place. My husband and I stayed here in May 2011 and would go back in a heart beat. Why it's awesome: - It's the closest hotel to the airport. - Dan,...

After reading all the reviews, my husband and I booked our room with Casita de Maya. Just like everyone has said time and again, Dan made our trip a memorable experience that was more than we ever expected. Dan's introduction to Diego and family were the topper to an already wonderful trip and time. After eating at another restaurant, we...

My wife and I found this place on google while looking for a less expensive place to stay on our extended trip to Mexico. Dan, the owner, is terrific and gives excellent service! We absolutely LOVE this little place and will be back!

Dan was great and so was the grounds and the hospitality of everyone we met. We had stayed at one of the all-inclusive hell holes, had to move and this was a refreshing change for us. Will definitely be back!!!

OK so it's not on the beach. OK so it's not an all-inclusive. OK it's just across from the airport-you won't find a speck of sound from that vicinity at any hour. A short $4.00-$6.00 from Casita de Maya to most places around the Centro. Compare that to the beach hotel zone charging $10.00 just to drive three blocks for...
