I was looking for an inexpensive centrally located hotel for a quick dive trip. I booked via booking.com and the reservations were accepted, confirmed and paid for. I arrived and took a taxi to the hotel only to find it was closed, no signs or other information. I asked the bartender next door and she said she thought they were owned by the same people as Casa Mexicana and that people were being rerouted there. I walked a few blocks down the street to Casa Mexicana and she was correct. Casa Mexicana is being used for all guests due to the much slower traffic os covid. Casa Mexicana was nice and I will stay there again, I cannot comment on Suites Bahia.
Great hotel - very clean, great service and located in the heart of Cozumel. Will stay there again!!! (That was 101 characters, but Trip Advisor wants a min of 200 characters for a review. I hope this is it.)
I wanted to give Suites B another chance after their renovations. On the renovations, they have done a great job. The room is much nicer now and the renovations give the room a more modern, updated look- it looks like everything in the room is new, shower, table, tile- even the refrigerator is new. Nicely done. As usual the showers are hot, the beds comfortable, the place is clean and the location is convenient. What more could you want? Perhaps some quiet at night? Sadly the bar across the street plays loud, loud music until 2:00 AM- and if you have a room with a balcony then you get to experience it all! After 3 nights of almost no sleep, it became intolerable. I have been coming here for over a decade and I have really liked it, but being so close to the loud bar it's now time to choose somewhere else- there are MANY alternatives worthy of your money…
I stayed for five nights in room 39. This is an oceanfront suite on the third floor. I had a balcony which overlooked the ocean, the dive boat dock, the cruise ship terminal and the ferry Germino can’t get more centrally located than this. Scores of restaurants are in easy walk in dance raging from cheap to more expensive, with all sorts of different cuisine choices. Free breakfast at casa Mexicans a couple blocks from the suites Bahia. These breakfast are hot and cooked to order. Good coffee and juice is also available. The floors of the rooms are tile. There is ample storage, and charging stations for diving photographers. Kitchenette with full sized refrigerator freezer and microwave. Stocked with dishes and silverware. Walking distance to the Mega superstore for all the food you could need as well as liquor, wine and beer. The only issue with this location is that it is across Calle 3 from the thirsty cougar which often has a live band playing until late at night. Good song but lousy singers. The street traffic can also be noisy with evening reveled yelling late at night. If you don’t mind that, or have some good sleeping pills you can get by nicely. Or just join the party at the cougar and have fun. If you value your sleep, just plan ahead for the raucousness. That’s the only reason for the four. Otherwise this is a five for comfort, value and convenience. I’m definitely planning my return. Oh, the staff was friendly and courteous. The maid service was efficient and capable. …
I was here in early Feb. 2020. The location is very nice, with shopping & restaurants very close by. Nice view of the water. Across the street from the dive boat pick-up spot. 2 blocks from the dive shop I was using. Only 1 small complaint was the shower was cold. I let the front desk know. Was told to let water run for 20 min. Still cold. I let it run for over a 1/2 hour,... still cold. The water temp never got above 80 degrees. Other than that, I had a wonderful stay.
