We were on Cozumel for the Ironman and staying at a hotel in the centro. For a day of AI fun we decided to check out the Hotel Cozumel on a day pass. Before even embarking on our trip, communication with the hotel was fast and friendly. When we arrived at the lobby, we paid our $30/pp but didn't realize...

Hotel Cozumel and Resort is a very well priced, affordable, alternative to some of the very pricy, overrated hotels nearby. Several reviewers have complained about the food and the wifi. The food was decent and was exactly what you should expect for what you pay - this is NOT a five star hotel and doesnt pretend to be. As fro...

This is one of the host hotels for the Ironman race, so my thoughts are sort of from a racer's perspective (maybe I'd get something with more stars for a pure vacay): Things I liked: - The all-inclusive food is totally fine and we ended up eating there most of the time. - The hotel has a "beach" that its...

We stayed here for a week while I competed in the Ironman Cozumel triathlon. The hotel is a bit old and tatty and the food isn't anything to write home about but this was largely offset by the very friendly and helpful staff, who I have to say we're excellent. The only exception was a couple of staff apt the...

I would have to say "Average" at best. We were spoiled by the Cozumel Palace last year, and needed to save some money. We did save the money (about 1/2 the price of the Palace), but sacrificed more than we wanted to. For the most part, it's one choice for all meals, and the food was inconsistent in quality -...

I have stayed here a couple times and the service and property are always good. Not close enough to the cruise ship docks to get all the peddlers, scammers, and day tourists so the area is fairly quiet. This is not a fancy hotel but it is decent. Open air hallways and lobby. Never had a problem with the rooms,...

My husband is a scuba diver and has been to this resort for the last two years with his dive group(Maximum Scuba). This year he did not dive and so I tagged along on the trip. We were all greeted with a Tropical punch and were in our room within minutes of arriving. The hotel needs a little TLC, however...

We went to this hotel on a Groupon special. The hotel leaked every where through the roof when it rained. Food was absolutely horrible!!! Dinner was mixed together with stuff for breakfast and visa versa. The service was terrible. The hotel smelt like mildew. They charge you for local calls and $10 for room service. You are not on the...

I have stayed at a couple other hotels in Cozumel that rank in the same price range as this hotel. I have found that Hotel Cozumel and Resort offers consistency with cleanliness, service and convenience. Just a short mile south of the San Miguel Pier this hotel is close enough to the square but yet just far enough to keep...

From the moment we checked in, we were welcomed with open arms and a Blue Hawaiian. We got an early check in and king bed as requested, no waiting. Calling ahead does help. We had a fruit basket in the room as welcome surprise and a beautiful bouquet of tropical flowers, (perhaps they know this was our 3rd year back!)...
