Well I can’t say enough about this amazing resort. We upgraded to a beach front room and it was so worth the increase in price. We left the resort only two times for meals that were not as good as the hotel food. The service is the best, the rooms are great and very clean. The beds were very comfy too. We were able to snorkel right here, and the infinity pool is perfect. The bar was great too. All staff wear masks and the hotel is very clean. You have to get a Covid test to fly back to the states three days before you leave. So that even ensures more caution. We would not stay anywhere else. Even our cab driver said this was the best resort in Cozumel. Don’t forget to go to the spa. Yes it is pricey, but if you get Edith to do a deep tissue massage, you will be so happy that you spent a bit more for the best massage ever. Come and enjoy this amazing resort! Salud!

We stayed here in Feb 2021. Our room was impressive. Our view of the ocean was breathtaking. Our room had a big tub that easily holds two people. Our bed was comfy and everything was immaculate. They took care of our COVID testing, and it only took about 5 minutes to have the test done on site. The Scuba Du dive shop is on site and does an amazing job. The restaurants are delicious and convenient. We used the hotels bikes to explore the city on a couple of days. We did 7 dive excursions. Best diving in the world. Great romantic getaway. Well priced. Great servicve.

I have stayed at IHG Presidente Cozumel well over a dozen times over the last ten years. It used to be my favorite hotel in Mexico. I'm sorry to say that is no longer the case. This hotel has gone downhill. We experienced a variety of issues during our most recent stay. It is being run by people that are not concerned about guest satisfaction. In addition, there is absolutely no benefit to being an ambassador member at this hotel. They will attempt to overcharge you for room "upgrades." There's not enough space to go into everything they put us through. What I can say is that every person from the manager of the hotel - Patrick Beury - to the front desk staff told us something different when we were trying to book. Part of our seven night booking was paid reservation and the other part was award nights and they weren't going to let us stay in the same room. Then they went from saying they would let us remain in the same room for free to being charged $250, $200, $150, $100, etc... Is it really that difficult to figure out? Nobody knows what the other is saying then they deny what you have been told. I need to mention that the pool area and hot tub were PACKED with people without masks. No social distancing whatsoever. Very disconcerting in the middle of a global pandemic. Over the years we have dealt with mold in our room, insects, crabs in the room, broken air conditioning in the middle of summer and a lot of noise issues. The walls here are very thin. We loved the location near the reef, so kept going back. Big mistake. In terms of our room on this stay - they ended up putting us in a very noisy room right next to the lobby with screaming children in the room next to us. One night there were people outside yelling and partying. We requested MULTIPLE times to be moved only to be told that there was nowhere else to move us although every time I looked online there were numerous rooms available. They kept saying there wasn't. Not true! The Ambassador service representatives confirmed the same availability when I called them. They also attempted to call the hotel multiple times to resolve this issue, but the hotel could care less. Management is inept, unprofessional, dishonest and extremely rude. In the end, they offered us two other room choices - one right behind the speakers to the music for the main pool and one at the very end of the resort in front of the maintenance room. We wasted two days of our vacation dealing with this mess and the hotel refused to make it right. In the end, we had to negotiate with them to let us out of the remaining days of our reservation, so that the rest of our vacation wasn't ruined. This included spending a massive amount of time on the phone with Ambassador services and searching online for different accommodations during the week of Christmas and New Years. A case was opened on this and I'm still dealing with this matter with Ambassador services. What a disappointment this hotel has become. It used to be fantastic. Not anymore! They could care less that they lost long term repeat guests. What does that say about the management? Pathetic. Don't expect to be treated like a valued guest at this IHG property. You are NOT! It's way too expensive of a hotel to be treating guests like this. There's too many other hotels in the world that don't disrespect their guests. There's no need to pay these rates to be treated like this! Read this review and believe it. Management and service here is terrible.

This resort was even better than their website markets. Great location, amazingly friendly staff, terrific food, beautiful water and rooms, etc. We appreciated their covid-precautions and felt safe every day. Enjoyed our stay and are looking forward to returning.

The Presidente Resort in Cozumel exceeded my expectations. The staff is attentive, friendly and willing to do anything to meet your needs. Every staff member greets you with a warm Hola when just passing in the hall. The room was modern, tastefully decorated and had a gorgeous view. All the public areas including the beach were immaculate. The snorkeling right at the resort was very good with a convenient stairway down to the water saving you from climbing over rocks. The sandy beach was fantastic for swimming. The hotel had strict COVID protocols in place, and arranged for my test to return home on site. All went smoothly. As a woman traveling alone, I felt safe and well cared for here. A special shout out to The Cap, the Mediterranean restaurant, for the food and service, and to Hilaria’s amazing massage in the spa. This hotel is not an inexpensive “all inclusive” —it’s more upscale. That said, I found the rates reasonable for the service, food and ambiance. I plan to return!
