just returned from a great vacation at the allegro cozumel. after staying at 3 different resorts on the island this trip this property certainly has the best beaches by far. you can snorkel right off the shore and they have a fantastic dive company on the property. the food was pretty good, but there is always something being made hot...

this was our first time at this resort and after reading the reviews we were concerned about going. Being first club members we are trying out the different resorts. Our room overlooked the beach and was very spacious with a spectacular view from the balcony. The staff were very friendly and extremely helpful and efficient. The food at the first...

They have a great location, with an awesome beach, the staff are very friendly and help in everyway, but the facility needs some freshening up and some proper maintenence, the food is ok, but limited to buffets three times a day, they have two ala carte resturants, but its not much diffrent than the buffets, they are close to some...

Just returned from a fantastic stay at the Allegro. Our room was average and the bed could have been more comfortable, but the location, the attentive staff and great beach more than make up for the negatives. We have stayed in Cozumel 8 times and this visit was one of the best! Located on the best beach on the island...

I had an amazing time staying at the Allegro Cozumel Resort. As a swimmer, I really really liked their non-rocky beach for its length, calm water, and cleanliness. What also impressed me was the resort's pleasant and helpful workers--from the concierge to the waiters, from the cleaners to the bartenders. They were always willing to go the extra mile to...

In the "you get what you pay for" category, this resort needs a major overhaul. The rooms although cleaned daily desperately needed upgrading. (moldy bathtubs, plumbing that didn't work, doors with gaps big enough to let the little biting bugs in). Some days the maid would leave towels and face cloths, others she would forget. The common doors between rooms...

Expectied more from a 4 star. Everything at the hotel was fine but the food and choice of restaurants was poor and limited. The PADI dive center is one of the best I have encountered.

This is a great resort for families. Lots to do for the entire family. They offered great packages that u could purchase for the week if u had a small baby.....we got crib, bottle sterilizer, food warmer and bottle warmer, baby bath, sun tent, stroller, etc. Cost was $100 for use of this for entire week. Well worth the $100....

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
In Mexico’s Caribbean there is a tiny island just bursting with life – it is Cozumel and the Allegro Cozumel. Right on the famous Sand Francisco Beach, two worlds of adventure co-exist: The Fun-in-the-sun beach and the amazing undersea Palancar Reef. Whatever you choose to pursue, Allegro Cozumel places it right at your fingertips. Beach Volleyball, tropical bars, restaurants, and nightclubs keep life on land exciting, while the on-site dive shop and big-game sport-fishing charters offer a gateway into the dazzling marine sanctuary of Cozumel’s waters. And when you awake the next morning, after a relaxing night’s sleep in your comfortable guest room, you’ll find there’s even more to explore, because the adventure never stops at Allegro. For the young ones, there is plenty to do from building sand castles alongside the beautiful powdery white sand beach, get physical at the amazing kid’s multiplay covered playground, catch some giggles at the water park, or take advantage of the many activities offered by the Kids clubs. ... more   less

“I gave value a low score because..... Allegro was bought out by Barcelo. I became a member in Allegro in 2005. I was NEVER charged an additional Single Supplement. Now, under Barcelo, singles have to pay for the empty bed. I'm afraid the company is more money oriented. Since I'm divorced times many years, I would like to sell my membership. I'll see what Barcelo says when I get around to contacting them.”
