I moved over here from across the street at fiesta americana because they were booked up when I extended my trip and this little place is quite the treasure. No swimming at the hotel besides a small pool but you can just walk across the street and get breakfast at the café in the Intercontinental and then you’re right there on the beach or drive to a public beach. All beaches are technically public on the waterline up to about 20 m from the tide line. The hotel even has a little breakfast place on the water with shaded seating and very friendly staff. AC here was stronger than the fancy condo we had in Tulum I think. Quiet neighborhood next to fancy places and yachts but I felt safe here and comfortable. Very clean. The maid even reset and cleaned my room after my first night. Spectacular tidiness is a good sign. Staff were all very friendly. Highly recommend if you want to save $100 from places across the street and find your own beach shade. You could bring your own umbrella and drinks and have your own beach resort and stay here for very cheap to rest and recharge. I’m guessing this place is locally owned also which is nice to support the locals more. Lagoon photo is from this hotel, the swing and bar are at Intercontinental across the street. Oh and this hotel is a block or so from a nice Pemex mini super for all your snacks and water needs at better prices than I saw in busy area. I have not found affordable sunscreen though. 🙃🌴🤷♂️…
I would have given this place a 5 star review given the value. It was inexpensive which is great but their website specifically lists "Airport Shuttle" as an amenity. When I landed I gave them a call to ask about being picked up by the shuttle and reception just tells me "yeah you have to pay for one there." Looking at their website it also says that EVERY room has a kitchenette. I don't see a kitchenette in my room (I had leftovers that would have been nice to keep refrigerated) I don't usually write reviews, but I felt this one was warranted because their website is misleading to potential guests. Hopefully this keeps someone else from planning on having the hotel shuttle included. Thanks.
We chose this hotel because of its location. The hotel was simple and clean. We weren’t expecting much but was better then we imagined. Nice small pool and lots to do around the area. I had a nice omelette and my friend some eggs with different sauces. One thing though, you have to tell them how you like your toast, otherwise it is too toasted
We really enjoyed our stay here. Rooms are basic and comfortable, cleaned very well daily with fresh bedding/towels. Always a clever towel animal waiting after cleaner (Cindy muchos gracias :). Please tip 10 to 20 pesos per day to those maids. It's a custom and it's a wage dependent on this. Research tip culture and the Mexicans show you much gratitude for what amounts to nothing much here. The hotel was a 15 min walk from Tortuga beach (calm lagoons much nicer than the wavey beaches on other side of cancun) if you got flags on your beach get directions to the paradise calm beaches you are missing out on not far at all from you. Nice and quiet at night, air con worked well. Breakfast included fruit and toast, very pleasant. More food was on offer but we were out all day so did not try. Swam at night in nice well maintained pool which was very enjoyable. Not the hottest pool but I only used it at night. Refreshing on burnt skin. Forgot to get a safe key untill 3rd night, left Dosh etc exposed and nothing taken, felt very safe. Staff team were all lovely, really lovely friendly people. Not many UK visitors, this was mostly a Mexican b and b and much nicer for it. Bar close by around the corner, food not so good but great place to have a beer in evening. If your a demanding fusspot who expects to be treated like a sultan whilst paying a low amount save up and jog on to an all inclusive. If you want to see a more genuine Mexico choose this place, we loved it and would return.…
I stayed there several times. I love Cancun so to me it's perfect to enjoy the beach and party and then 10 minutes walk to quite place for sleeping. They let you keep your baggage if you're too early to check-in or having evening flight, which is convenient. The rooms are easy but it's enough for me. And if you are lazy - you can rest at the pool! All in all - good place!
A very good choice for a weekend trip to Cancun. Very well located, clean and confortable. Good price to quality value. The restaurant was good with a view to the lagoon. A walking distance to hotels and restaurants.
I guess you get what you paid for . Hotel shown as $100 hotel and paid about $45 with special discount. Do not be deceived this is a $30 hotel which is priced for $45. Everything is very old , feels and smells moldy. Very poor customer service from ladies at front desk. DO NOT stay here.
This hotel is very old, while they upgraded the rooms they did not upgraded the bathrooms. The faucets from the shower and the bathroom were old,. The view was horrible we were looking at a shack and the experience was awful. A lot of children running around. There was no iron in the room.
I cant believe it,,,I got this reservation 3 month in advance, room is very very tiny,,cant pass each other , no space, breakfast cup coffe cup,,,, only orange juice no other,,every single day same, tost and 50 gr fruit,,then you have to buy from them what ever you want ,prices higher then in USA,,I cant believe,,and also for this service you need to give a tip,,whey are waiting of course every time, cant understand for what?I do not recommend to buy this hotel, never ever,or if you have no money like me,,do not buy breakfast here because it is not worth it,it is better to go to store and buy something you like but not what they will decide what to eat for you every moning, same same same, please be smart,,,HORROR
This place a bit older and some of its equipment out of date but there is clearly an attempt to keep things clean and in working order. Our room was very clean, the beds tightly made, a few frilly aesthetic touches with the towels & TP. As for features: Soap in the bathroom, cable TV (in Spanish), A/C, free Wi-Fi, a small but clean pool, hot water (sometimes it took a little while to get going but the water pressure was good), free parking, and a "continental breakfast". Now, don't assume you're getting unlimited food. It's simple--coffee, OJ, a little bit of fruit, and some overly toasted toast. Don't fret though, they have a breakfast menu where the items are pretty cheap. The hotel is on the lagoon. So, that means no swimming unless you can out-swim crocodiles. It was a nice spot in the morning though to watch the birds, and in the afternoon a crane was hanging out in the water. There are a few shops, small places to eat & a convenience store/gas station but not too much to write home about within a 5 minute walk. If you walk 15-20 minutes you find more things. I can't guarantee how close the closest beach is (I feel like I saw a review that was 8 minutes) but it took us 20 minutes to walk to the one the staff member in the lobby told us was closest. So, it's an average hotel that tries and for that I give it a 4. Just don't expect the world and you'll be fine.…
