Miguel at guest services sucks. He is the worst. Pool is under construction and you need to stay away. Pool is also covered with holes and hurts your feet if you try walking. Your COVID tests will be $35 each and the reception is not helpful at all. The rooms are moldy. The beach is also not ideal, with rocks at the shore.
We stayed at this resort in August 2020. We had an ocean view room in the 1st floor of the main building. The room was clean and decent with a balcony. It is a typical room. While there our friends were gold members so we decided to upgrade (for an extra cost) during our stay as well and it was worth it!! We had private beachside service the server ISRAEL was beyond amazing and accommodating to our group! We visited all the restaurants including the buffet and the food was good and fresh. My favorite restaurant was the hibachi. The grounds were very well kept and clean. The resort is not too big so you can around by foot to anywhere you have to go. Our other family members stayed at a beachside villa with a private pool, that is worth it if you are looking to be more private. We visited the Spa as well and the service was great we had couple massages and we used the pool and sauna that was included. You can easily be there for half a day just relaxing. Also, the resort lobby smells amazing!!!! I know this may sound silly to mention but if you visit you will see what I mean! The covid testing process was easy and seamless. Plan ahead! But overall, I would recommend a stay here for couples or families and I would love to go back someday! …
We stayed 9 nights from the 26th April for my brothers wedding. Arriving at the hotel, we thought wow, smell fresh, look lovely and staff welcoming. Got our keys and headed to our balcony room with Seaview and it was like we time travelled via the elevator. The wow factory had ended once I stepped out the elevator. The decor, dated, the bathroom extremely date with a bath tiled in and looking really poorly cleaned and maintained, so much so you didn't want to stand it in. The curtains to the balcony were mucky once you had a close look and the bed was uncomfortable. I complained the next morning and they upgrade us to a villa, slightly better in terms of decor but not much better, so much so my misses wouldn't stand in the shower without slippers, no bottled water in the villa's, you have to ask at reception for a bottle and travel to the first floor to fill them up. As for the food, if you are not a pork eater then good luck, pork dishes would be right next to the non-pork dishes which mean utensils mixing, the options on what to eat was limited for most of us. To top it off, one of our party found worm on their lettuce, the potato salad and salad at the wedding had bacon, even though they were told, strictly no pork or shell fish. All in all, I got tired of complaining and didn't want to spoil my brothers wedding so I just stuck it our or jump in our hire car and leave most days. I for one will definitely not be stopping at another Iberostar, even if I am paid.…
The beach was great, great place to stay with your family and friends. The staff was very friendly and very welcoming. Franco always put a smile on faces and lights up the room. He was very helpful in directions and fun things to do.
I had a wonderful time here at the resort. I really enjoyed the service. The drinks and the food was amazing. Thank you guys for making a memorable experience. Carlos was great. I really enjoyed the games that we played at the pool.
All the staff are amazing and very helpful. Litzy was awesome and made sure to do her job. She was there whenever we needed help. It was so much fun staying at the hotel and we absolutely will do it again because of Litzy 💞💞💞
Rooms are dirty, black mold in the bathroom, dirty walls, tiny bugs on the floor, balcony doors are hard to open. The buffet is the same food every night, usually cold, and desserts are frozen not home made. Just a run down property, staff doesn't seem happy. Not worth the money, there are much better places.
I never thought that much fun could be that affordable. Everything, facilities and staff were great. Food was phenomenal. Went above and beyond to accommodate everyone and make sure vacation was perfect. Guadalupe down at the beach club was the single most impressive person I’ve encountered in hospitality. Took care of everything we needed before we even knew we needed it. That dude should be running his own resort. Couldn’t recommend enough.
First let us start by saying how unbelievably professional and friendly the entire staff is!! They went above and beyond to make us feel special and welcomed. The entertainment at the pool was fun and we met so many people there. We never left the resort even though we had planned on going on an excursion or two. We were simply comfortable and happy to enjoy the amenities at our resort. The biggest bonus was meeting Alexandra She has become someone we will keep in touch with for always. Alexandra checked in with us even when she wasn’t working to make sure that we had Everything we needed. We truly are grateful for all she did and for meeting such an amazing woman. Through Alexandra we met Mauricio who could not have worked harder to make sure we were happy and satisfied with our stay at Iberostar. Fernando was the Concierge we worked with. He too was amazing and knew us by name immediately again making us feel special and welcomed. Karla, Martha, Jay, and Jonathan were also just a few other names to mention who took personal time to help make sure our stay was happy and memorable. Thank you all at Iberostar Selection Cancun for all you did for us. Louis and Laura Capasso…
While the location and services was wonderful, our initial room was VERY tired and not clean (dust bunnies hanign off the walls) and the showers did not work. They tried to fix the shower and were unable to so we got upgrade to a CORAL level room which was lovely. The only problem is that when we showered the fire alarm went off. The food was not even close to 5 star. Many people at the pool were disappointed with the food- especially the Mexican restaurant where our dinner was all but inedible.
