We have explored quite a few Ritz Carltons over the years and we love this place the best. Excellent customer service, great staff, amazing decor and the best food to make our stay memorable. Good sanitary protocols in place keeping in mind the pandemic everywhere. The beach, pools, indoors and outdoors are well maintained. Huge shoutout to Roman, David and Deeter from the Caribe grill, the housekeeping staff and everyone who made our trip worth it.

Overall a wonderful stay at the Ritz-Carlton. Welcome to the facility was very pleasant with fresh drinks to offer immediately upon arrival. May our bellhop was courteous, friendly and accommodating. COVID: All staff members are following with mask mandate and I’ve not seen any with the mask barely covering their nose. I know that during these times mask wearing is very individual as to how strict they are with use. It is nice that the staff has been respectful to all guests to that aspect and if you are very cautious like me this is something that I appreciate very much. COVID testing is done and administered by medical professional within the facility as a requirement for flying back to the US. DECOR: I’ve heard some people complain about the decor being a little dated on previous reviews. I completely disagree with this. The hotel is very well maintained inside and well manicured outside. If you’re looking for a more contemporary style of hotel you can stay at a JW. The Ritz represents opulence and a more Traditional decor throughout the lobby. This is similar to what you would see at a Plaza Hotel or a Carlyle in NYC. The guest rooms have a transitional feel to the furniture. FOOD: My family and I enjoyed all our meals at the hotel. We have no complaints whatsoever. Breakfast buffet is the way to go with a family. Enjoyed all the continental, Traditional and local options. I definitely took advantage of the Mexican breakfast dishes. This is not something I cannot easily get in NY. Room service is prompt and all meals set and served with perfection. The Sushi was great and rolls are unique and tasty. The Club Grill (fine dining) was amazing!!! They even made a special dish for the baby. POOL AND BEACH: November the pool is cooler than the sea water but none the less we all still enjoyed both. The staff as usual is accommodating to all of our family’s needs. They have stations for both pool and beach for towels and sunscreen for the taking. Pool staff are ready to prepare your lounge chair with fresh towels and neck support for your comfort. There was very minimal sea weed on the beach luckily but the waves from the sea is quite powerful and should be careful with children. KIDS: They offer a large conference room with a large bounce house, giant chess board, Xbox, coloring books/crayons and different kinds of board games. Hand sanitizers and cleaning wipes available in facility. This was an added bonus for my son. He loves it! SPA: What can I say?! The place is impeccable and super clean. Yenny was my valet she guided me through the spa and was there for me at every whim. I took advantage of the relaxation lounge with refreshments and snacks. I Took a dip on the outdoor jacuzzi before my spa treatment. My husband and I booked a couples’ hot stone massage. German was my massage therapist and he listened and communicated what my target areas of concerns and restrictions are. He is very good. TIP: My husband mentioned that he got charged for a black car service back and forth from the airport. We used a third party van service from booking site for our family. Check itemized bill upon check out. They apologized and had it removed immediately from the bill. Ritz-Carlton did not disappoint! I am looking forward to coming back again or go to another Ritz-Carlton Hotel. Thank you for a wonderful time!

I have stayed at the Ritz-Carlton Cancun several times now. Without fail, it never disappoints. This hotel is operated in an absolutely perfect manner. Every staff member is courteous, attentive, professional and determined to make every guests’ experience most enjoyable. The Ritz-Carlton Cancun ought to be some sort of case study on superb hospitality. I would highly recommend staying here.

This is a well maintained hotel. Building is a little older style, but there is class and charm inside. Service was all throughout excellent, attentive and responsive. Food quality is excellent. This is one of the few places I stayed where there are carpets all around in the rooms/suites and had no dust allergies. Truly great housekeeping. Front desk with excellent service-thanks to Gustavo for the great check-in provided! I could go on about the good things.... I would like instead of point some potential improvements that could make a stay even beyond excellent, which may not be relevant to some people, but maybe to others. Here are the potential improvements I'd recommend to the hotel, again, by any means not trying to decrease the impression of the excellent stay we had: 1. The tennis court hours are 7am-7pm. This is not very convenient, as most of the time, the sun sets at 6-7pm and it is nearly impossible to play good quality tennis during daylight at the time, as the courts are located to the west of the hotel and they get all the afternoon heat/sun. It would be great if the hours could be extended to 10pm, as I would have loved to play with the lights on after dark for a couple of hours, when it usually cools down a bit. 2. It would be great, if Marriott Titanium or Ambassador members would get a notification on the App that their room got upgraded before check-in. Not a must, but it would be nice to know in advance what the upgrade is...etc., if possible. 3. The french doors in the suites are a bit too lite and, once you open a window, they get either slammed shut or open up further; it would be nice to have heavier doors between the living room and the bedroom that are not moved by the wind coming from the outside, when you open a window. 4. For breakfast-I'd suggest having a dish with salami/local cheese/ham, basically some sort of italian style of breakfast choice, but with local products, so if one doesn't feel like eating eggs or chicken, there is another protein option. 5. Have the italian restaurant Il Fantino open for some lunch hours. Not everyone likes big dinners, but could do big lunches. Just an idea. 6. Have a paper describing what the resort fee covers/includes, as it would be helpful at check-in to know. Maybe include a 30% spa discount on any service, as otherwise we found spa prices too high for what they should be. It would be a nice touch to increase spa business also. Again, many thanks to the hotel for the wonderful stay! Looking forward to coming back again and again!

I have heard great things about the Ritz-Carlton brand and had the pleasure of experiencing first hand on our recent trip. We were there for a week with our 11 year old daughter and 2 other friends. From the minute we checked in to the time we departed, the service was top notch. We had a room on the club level and the food, drinks, and the service were all fantastic, every single time. And we spent a lot of time lounging in the lounge in between our dips to the beach and the pools. The property was immaculately clean and we felt very safe during the Covid period. There were so many great Ritz team members that helped us, it's hard to list them all. However, Jimena, Franco, Jonathon, and Noeimi welcomed us with smiles and took great care of us during our visits to the lounge. Also, Joel was always super friendly and took great care of us pool side. As I write this review, I am already daydreaming about returning to this property and getting pampered all over again, very soon.
