For at least 5 years we have made Casa Felipe Flores our home for a week, bringing along friends and fellow volunteers. Nancy and David as well as their staff have become friends and not only have provided the best introduction to the city but have helped solve problems like finding an eye doctor when a friend needed one desperately.... Casa filipe Flores was a joy to stay at for a few days and a perfect place to explore san cristobal. The communal breakfast is delicious and the the bedrooms have very comfy beds as well as open working fires which is welcome during the chilly nights. There are many good coffee shops and bars nearby. On average a 3... More

You will be treated professionally and courteously. You will feel as if this is your home. The owners and the staff are client oriented and have the right balance of making sure that your needs are covered and allowing you the privacy that you need. A perfect example is when an early morning flight was well before any reasonable hot... More

Only wish we lived in this gorgeous house. David, Nancy and their lovely staff went out of their way to help us out and were enormously welcoming. Their recommendation of the village tour led to one of the highlights of our 3 weeks in Mexico... Where else would someone bring in your washing during a monsoon downpour when stranded in... More

We chose this boutique hotel to treat ourselves for three nights. As the other reviews attest the interior design is fabulous and the breakfasts delicious but the stay was marred because the basics were missing. One night of loud live music from the hostel next door, one morning with no hot water, and a no lock policy that left us... More

This couple has every right to be upset about the noise at the nearby hostel and we were equally -if not more - upset than the guests because the hostel manager had previously met his commitment to lower the noise level and end the music well before midnight on the infrequent occasions (three in the past 12 months) they have... Six years ago I travelled through Mexico and Costa Rica with my wife and we spent a few days in San Cristobal and Casa Felipe Flores. I've always wanted to return. This year I went back (on my own this time) and stayed about a month (from mid-Feb to mid-March). It's a nice period in San Cristobal - sunny days... More

I echo what others have said - beautifully decorated home, a piece of living history! Marco the manager was warm, endlessly patient and helpful and really interesting to talk to about Mexican culture. He also recommended we stop to visit the ruins at Tonina en route to Palenque, which was honestly one of the best, most fascinating days of my... More

We just stayed three nights in San Cristobal, and the Casa Felipe Flores exceeded all of our expectations, certainly the ones I got from the website, which doesn't do it justice. David and Nancy are lovely hosts, and really give you the impression that they're opening their house to you, no feeling of a hotel at all. Extremely courteous and... More

We stayed at Felipe Flores on a trip through Chiapas recently and wanted to stay there forever ;-) The house is in an terrific location...close enough to walk anywhere but on an off street that does not get the noise! I would give Casa Felipe Flores 6 stars if I could! It is as beautiful and well-situated as other reviewers state, but it was the kindness of the owners, David and Nancy, and the manager, Marco, that rate my rave review. I arrived late on a Saturday afternoon after a 6-hour bus trip and limping badly on an injured knee.... More

“They were most accommodating. I suffer from asthma and couldn't do the wood fireplace so they brought me in a little space heater and it did the trick. It does get a little chilly there at night, but the bedding was great and the cool sleep was welcome. Thank you so much Casa Felipe Flores.”
