Bijou might be the right word. Our beds were comfortable and the room quiet. Extra blankets if you're feeling the chill at 6000 feet asl. Another hotel where using the washbasin puts you on view to room mates. Poor lighting means shaving is a lottery. Only one hand towel and no plug in basin. Bath towels past their best. Breakfast...

The rooms arranged around court yards were a decent size and comfortable, the decor through out the Hotel was very Mexican in a nice way as you will see from my photographs. A good ten minutes walk from the main square but no need as there are at least three good eateries along this street, in fact if you like good...

First I lovee san cristobal de las casas! The people, the atmosphere is great. This little hotel is good for the price and is 5 min walking distance from restaurants and maybe 10 min from "el andador" the beds are not super comfortable but by the 2nd day I was super tired so I did not care about that anymore...

Stayed two nights in this well located hotel which was close to the restaurants and the main area. Provided comfortable accommodation with good free wifi. The breakfast was excellent with nice fresh fruit and an egg station. Efficient inexpensive laundry service.

The rooms are arranged around a few courtyards decorated with traditional, colonial items. It is very atmospheric and really great. The rooms were large with big beds and all necessary facilities. Staff were good and the overall experience was really good.

Casavieja means "Old House" and it was. We had a nice big room with two double beds and a very small shower, it had no extractor fan which made it quite damp. It had coffee making facilities but we only got one packet of coffee for our stay! free water was supplied Limited power points made it hard to charge...

I stayed in Casavieja for one night to visit San Cristobal de las Casas. The hotel grounds are lovely inside, and it's just a short walk to visit all the main areas of San Cristobal. The rooms are adequate, and it's a great launching pad to visit Palenque from San Cristobal. The only reason I didn't rate this hotel excellent...

This hotel is located in a great location, a few streets off the main pedestrian area. We drove our own car and were delighted when we pulled up front to the hotel entrance and noticed they have a chain blocking the curb for guests to load and unload. Also very convenient because it is a one way street. Parking for...

As so many others have noted, this hotel is a beautiful conversion of an old house and as such, it is clear they are working with limitations as to what can be achieved in the space available, hence the tiny shower room and the rather frustrating sink/wardrobe area. The character of the building is maintained in the rooms with lots...

We had the chance to spend one night in one of the five Suites of the Hotel. The quality and the service were exceptional. It is the best experience we had with hotels in Mexico. The personal is very polite and helpful, the suites are big, clean, beautifully designed and affordable. We warmly recommend the visitors of San Cristobal to...
