I stayed here for a week and had a lovely time. I stayed in one of the "back cabins" referenced here and they are indeed cold, with paper thing walls, but what do you expect for $15? They were fine for my purposes, although I didn't get a top sheet, which is a little gross. You do get extra blankets...

We stayed at this hostel over Christmas. On a positive note the staff were really nice, we met lots of other friendly backpackers and the central courtyard was a great place to hang out (although very cold at night and although we tried to get a fire going the wood was too wet so it basically just created a lot...

Loved my stay here, as it 5 minutes walk to the center of town. The staff were so friendly and very knowledgable about the tours/activities to do around S.C. The hacienda style was unique and very cozy, with many searing areas and hammocks to relax in or read a book. Breakfast were hearty and my room was very clean and...

I must say first that only reason I dislike the place was because it was so damn freezing in the mountains and I had no proper clothing. SO TAKE WARM STUFF WITH YOU. About the hostel: In ok shape, however not sure if the sheets are always washed (?) after every quest.. hope so! Anyway the rooms where nice and...

Great staff (and hostel dogs!) in a pretty sweet location - 5min walk from the centre. Beautiful courtyard and plenty of places to chill - hammocks, benches, etc. Our private room was good and had comfy beds but the lighting was ordinary. Just one of those gross energy saver bulbs. Hospital lighting. Included breakfast was nothing special but better than...

Had an amazing time here, people from reception was very friendly and helpful, full breakfast provided which was an amazing plus, close from everything downtown, nice vibe, hammocks for those sunny lazy days, fireplace for those cold nights, better than my home away from home... Definitely recommend this hostel.

Nice hostel in a beautiful old house near the main square. Only two bad things: 1. Private rooms are cold and have really thin walls, you could even hear breathing in the next room, so it was not that "private". 2. Tours they offer are expensive compare to other tour providers in town. It was a nice stay overall

The Team was friendly, we took tours from the hostel and it was great. The place very clean and quiet. The price is too high for hostel, we slept at privet room, and the breakfast is the minimum. We recommend this hostel.

“Again, the cabins in the back area very basic and you'll hear your neighbors but the dorms and privates in the front look nice. Ask for an extra blanket and if you're sharing a bath, the one nearer the entrance is nicer and has better hot water!”

“As San Cristobal can be cool in December, remember to bring warmer clothes. The staff, though do provide as many blankets as you need, and the central area warms up in the day times. Also they have a fire pit to enjoy in the evenings!”

“Private room is only USD 1 more instead of a dorm, so if you would like some privacy it's totally fine.”
