No tranquility at this hotel given the presence of a restaurant in the patio. From 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. you will hear music, moving tables, blenders, talking. Loud ambient noise removes all sense of tranquility and quiet from this Oaxaca property.

US friends needed a place for Day of the Dead. Two months in advance nothing was available for two weeks then I remembered La Reja. They had a large two bed room on the first floor. It had a/c which was needed as the windows did not open. It was very spacious, clean and in the best location in town....

This was an amazing experience. It was a great getaway from the busy city life. We could spend some quality time together.the hotel a Has a great view. The rooms are well lit up and not very noisy. It didn't set us back a lot of money so all in all, great!!!!

Even the cab drivers don't know where it is, but it has one of the best locations in the city, one block from Santo Domingo and next door to the 5 star Quinta Real. This is the perfect small hotel (8 rooms) with comfortable spotless rooms, quiet, beautiful courtyard, pleasant roof terrace with a view of Santo Domingo, delicious breakfasts, reasonable...

We really enjoyed our stay. The hotel is located a 10 minute walk from the "Zocalo" downtown square. The staff were very friendly and pleasant. No one spoke english really well but they made up for it with enthusiasum. Our room was on the second floor which kept it more private than the ground floor rooms. There are only 6...

It may be a fine place once you get in, but I did not make it that far. I had booked on-line, which required a deposit. The day before my arrival, I got a call from them saying my room had been "taken out of service" (very questionable, given it was a very busy weekend when rooms were hard to...

The best thing I can say about Le Reja is the location is great. The rooms are small, noise travels well between rooms, and there's a lot of ambient noise. Avoid a room on the first floor as they open right into the courtyard restuarant. Few of the staff speak any English although they all tried to be helpful.

It is very difficult to communicate with the staff at this charming property. As long as you are fluent in Spanish it is fine.

There's no hint outside about how beautiful this place is. The gardens are so refreshing. Big, clean rooms. Kind personnel. Interesting furniture. Steaming hot water and huge towels. Internet, TV. A shame we had to leave early and know nothing about the breakfast.

We spent 4 nights here over day of the dead in November - and couldn't recommend this place more highly! The location, one block off the walking street and one block from Santa Domingo, was superb. The rooms were lovely (doubles are more spacious, and upstairs rooms have more natural light), no problems with the wifi, the meals we ate...
