My husband and I stayed in room 4 of this lovely small hotel. The room was large, with very comfortable beds, a large bathroom, and a great shower. The hotel is very quiet at night, and we enjoyed the neighborhood. There are many interesting things to see and do within easy walking distance. The breakfasts are delicious and are served in a lovely courtyard. We particularly enjoyed having cafe latte each morning, along with a large number of breakfast choices. Above all, the staff is so very helpful and attentive, that they make your stay such a delightful one. Thanks so much to Jesus, Karen, Isabel, and all the rest of the staff for helping us with reservations, tours, arranging for cabs, and recommendations.

We stayed at Casona for 5 days and the whole time was fantastic. The location is ideal for exploring central Oaxaca by foot and it’s quiet at night. The entire staff was friendly and helpful. María, Gabriel and Carin were so helpful throughout our stay. The recommendations they mad e for tours and restaurants for us as first time visitors were spot on. The hotel is clean, modern and spacious. Decent WiFi and good air conditioning. Highly recommend

We had previously stayed at another hotel in Oaxaca, closer to the night 'action.' But last year the noise kept us up all night. This year we tried La Casona de Tita, and were glad we did. We enjoyed the intimacy of this hotel with only six units. We were always able to have a good night's sleep. The complete morning breakfast (not continental) was great as we didn't have to leave the premises before starting our day.

We just returned from 3 days at La Casona de Tita. Wonderful boutique hotel set in a colonial home. The 6 rooms are big and decorated in great taste - sparse, hacienda style, thick stone walls, comfortable bed, strong AC. They are located around a beautiful and tranquil courtyard where a delicious breakfast is served. The location was perfect - a couple of blocks from all the action but completely quiet and peaceful at night. The staff was outstanding, so nice and accommodating. Mary, Karen, Gabriel and the others were very friendly and catered to our every need with a smile. We highly recommend Casona de Tita and plan on staying with them again on our next trip to Oaxaca.

We spent four nights in the two bedroom apartment owned by this hotel. It is a ten to fifteen minute walk away. The staff made us feel like family. First the owner arranged for an English-speaking driver to meet us at the airport..The plane was atrociously late, but there he, Oscar, was waiting. We checked in around 11 pm. Then the driver took us to the apartment and unlocked the two doors. We have had great difficulty getting into other places even in the daylight, so this was much appreciated. Morning breakfasts (included) in a beautifully fountained courtyard were a highlight of the day. What pleasure we got from the staff! Our table was always ready for us; we tried different, delicious selections each day; the bread and granola are made in-house; the orange juice is freshly squeezed. Thanks to Mari for arranging our trip to Monte Alban and for calling taxis when needed. We hated to leave.…

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the apartment which is an extension of the Hotel La Cason de Tita. The owners Amelia & Danny are warm, friendly and excellent communicators. We experienced flight delays/cancellation en route to Oaxaca. They were extremely helpful and accommodating. When we finally arrived arrangements were in place to ensure a smooth and swift check-in so we could get some much needed rest. The apartment is beautifully decorated, very comfortable and it’s in a quiet and peaceful neighborhood. Simply elegant. A daily breakfast included with your stay at the hotel with delicious Oaxacan dishes. The hotel courtyard where breakfast is served is also beautiful and the on-site manager of the hotel “Mary” greeted us on the mornings we went there. She is also warm, friendly, attentive and extremely helpful. They frequently say “We love to help!” and they hold true to that promise. I highly recommend this accommodation! …

Our stay at La Casona De Tita was one of the best parts of our trip to Oaxaca! The hotel is perfectly located, close to downtown, but on a quiet street. The staff is OUTSTANDING! Mari was so kind and helpful, she made our Oaxaca experience so much easier! The breakfast is wonderful and Gabrielle made each and every morning enjoyable and special. I would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a clean, safe, and special stay in Oaxaca!

We looked over many boutique hotels and B&B's in Oaxaca before settling on La Casona De Tita, and we're glad we chose this beautiful spot. A delicious breakfast was served each morning on their lovely patio. Mari and the rest of the staff were extremely helpful and accomodating. Like I said in the header...it's very close to everything, but not in the loud party zone of El Centro and the Zocalo. Bed is comfortable, shower great, but sometime the WiFi could act up. They'd quickly reset the router and make it good again, so it might be a mild inconvience for a few minutes, but no big deal. If I were going back to Oaxaca, I would definitely return here.

We came to Oaxaca for a wedding and found the hotel on Trip Advisor. We had a great experience at the hotel. Our room was spacious and clean. The people were friendly and helpful. Breakfast (included) was delicious! The location was within walking distance from everything you would want to do in the city central but was still quiet.

Perfect location, very calm, friendly staff, very delicious breakfast, possibility to open windows to get fresh air, birds singing, comfortable bed. Very high price for a very simple room. No tea, coffe or kettle in a room. Just one chair in a room, very poor toiletters, no slipers Bedding a little worn out.
