stayed almost a week and would highly recommend Casa Vertiz.... Very clean rooms and very friendly staff. Restaurant service is also good Best thing is the location of the Hotel, walking distance to Santo Domingo and other wonderful places....... Why do we have to write so much review?.....?..

The maids and the bellboy should give the office, reception, and waiters a lesson in customer service. There was no management on premises to address any of our concerns or issues. Some front desk employees are discerned and uncaring. For the price it could be much better for this wonderful City. Is this hotel for sell... ?We could do so... More

This Hotel had charged us unfarily for 2 nights of accommodation when we canceled our booking in their website. It was a big surprise when we looked at the credit card statement a charge of £200 for accommodation that we canceled while ago so I called the Hotel and they say that they never received the cancelation which means that... This will be our ninth and final night at this lovely hotel: we never felt the need to check out and move to another hotel. It is a small, very conveniently located hotel: just two blocks behind the Santo Domingo church, and an eight to ten minute walk to the zocalo, going at a leisurely pace. Our room is extremely... Great little Hotel (14 Rooms) Excellent location and only 5 blocks from the main plaza but just 2 blocks from the main church and monastery. Service is great and nice and quiet. The bed is fantastic, really firm mattress. The only negative about this place is the restaurant on the ground floor as you enter through the main doors. Its... More

WE stayed at Casa vertiz in Sept. And it was a beautiful month, it rained a little at night, cool in the morning, hot at noon, and again nice weather at night. The rooms are comfortable, and very typical. The location is great, walking distance everywhere, good prices. I would stay there again.

We were very impressed when we stopped in for breakfast at the Casa Vértiz and asked to see the rooms on a previous trip to Oaxaca. On this trip we confirmed that first impression. This is a very nice small hotel, comfortable and agreeable in every way possible. A restaurant operates in the front patio of the hotel with tables... More

This is our first stay at Casa Vertiz in oaxaca and we couldn't be happier. The hotel is built around a lush, almost tropical internal courtyard and has roof terrace with fantastic view of the Santa Domingo church. We stayed in room 'Paccas' which we would recommend as it is at the back of the upper level of the courtyard,... More

I LOVE this hotel. This is the second time we have stayed at the Casa Vertiz (see review from 2 years ago below). It is STILL amazing, and still has one of the best locations yet is not noisy. The ENTIRE staff is friendly and helpful. The restaurant STILL has amazing breakfast, lunch, dinner, and coffee. There is hot water... More

I traveled there with my fiancée my sister and a friend; we were there only to spend the night in order to continue our road trip throughout the south east part of Mexico. We spent a night starting our trip and another night a couple of weeks later to end our trip, however, we decided to stay an extra night... More
