Travelers with a taste for elegance and comfort will delight at the chance to stay at the newest in the series of Oaxaca's Parador Hotels, "Parador San Agustin". The Parador San Agustin was recently transformed from a deteriorating 16th century colonial estate into a charming, four star hotel with 16 rooms, and an excellent restaurant which, in itself, makes this hotel well-worth the visit. Whether you're a tourist determined to experience the wonders of Oaxaca, or a business person on the run, San Agustin's combination of efficiency, modernity and old-fashioned charm will fit the bill.

We stayed for 4 nights. There is more than enough room for 2. We had two queen beds. Helpful and pleasant staff. WiFi is free but slow in the room. There was a balcony but standing room only. Two short blocks to the Zocalo. With the balcony door shut all the noise and lights

I stayed here for seven nights and would stay here again. The location is great if you want to be close to the zocalo. The room was large and cute, with antique-y looking furniture, and I had a small balcony overlooking the street. The inside courtyard was pretty. I was offered

Been for 5 years there and never disappointed! Great location, helpful staff, good value, free breakfast, what more is needed? Some complain about several rooms without windows but what do you need them for being steps away from the lively plaza?

My friend and I really liked the privacy of our chosen room, the great location, and the the great customer service. The room was kept very clean. Was not crazy for their coffee, but I'm picky about that, and we found plenty of nearby places with lovely coffee. I would stay here

Spacious and charming rooms. Many recently renovated it seems. Excellent central location. Walking distance to zócalo, Santo Domingo, museums, pedestrianized tourist zone, markets. Delicious and ample breakfasts in delightful central courtyard. Each room we saw had its own

This hotel is a great deal for the price. I was surprised by it as well. This isn't the most luxurious hotel, nor are the rooms huge, but it's clean, comfortable, simple and the rooms are big enough. There is no air conditioning, and I know that can be a deal breaker for some. However there are ceiling fans and I had another fan in my room as well. I visited in September and was not bothered by excessive heat.

When we stayed there last spring, there was someone at a desk near the front door all night. There is no elevator. Steps are wide and comfortable to walk with railing. I am sure the helpful staff would help with luggage if you need it.
