We went there between Christmas and new years. Location was very good, just a walk to centre and all attractions. First we've been given a room in the ground floor between the two patios and with the highest toilet to seat, so we asked to be moved straight away and it all was fine. Service was very friendly, nice looking,...

Beware if booking a "superior" room in this hotel - when we arrived we were directed to a room with no windows backing onto the pool (I believe this one has been reviewed before with a similar unhappy response). The safe didn't have a lock on it and the room definitely did not have a balcony as advertised. When asking...

You are close to everything from this hotel: 1.5 blocks to the zócalo, a few blocks from the Alcalá, the main pedestrian street with cute shops, cafes, and restaurants (eat here rather than in the zócalo), and a 5-10 minute walk to most of the markets or colectivo points. We requested a quiet 2nd floor room and got room 203,...

This nice hotel is located just a short distance off the main walking street and the plaza Zocolo. The staff were so nice and helpful. The rooms were on the small side but clean and well appointed. I would stay here again.

Hotel in excellent location for central Oaxaca. Converted from 16C convent. We booked the Presidential Suite on line at a very reasonable rate. Staying in Oaxaca one night only and could not believe our good fortune. We found we had bookeda suite with two extremely opulent and spacious rooms, high ornate ceilings and two balconies. An enormous double bed, sofa and...

Very quaint, colonial style hotel. Lovely 2nd floor double room overlooking the pool area. Room a little bit small, but comfortable. Clean and roomy bathroom. Easy walking distance to the Zocalo. The pool was a welcome relief after getting lost wandering around the Zocalo area (we lost our bearings during a statewide teachers' strike in which a "tent city" had...

The location is superb. Our room, on the second floor, overlooked the pool which was lovely! Small tables and chairs placed on the second level allow for enjoying the "outdoors" in a private space. The bed was quite hard, and we asked for some kind of cushioning. Our second request yielded satisfactory results. The lighting in the rooms could be...

Location excellent - short walks to everything in town - sights, food etc. Staff bi-lingual and extremely helpful; room was clean/quiet; breakfast not bad; nice to have the pool too.

WOW! We were very impressed with Hotel CasAntica! Starting with the staff with special thanks to Christian and Martha. They were very knowledgeable about Oaxaca City and all of the restaurants and attractions. They went above and beyond the call of duty to make sure that my wife and I enjoyed our Valentine's Day experience in Oaxaca's beautiful "City of...

A sweet little room, the hotel's big benefit is its layout with large internal courtyards, pretty painted and stone walls, comfortable chairs/tables for hanging out and the QUIET space, just yards away from the traffic of the Oaxaca streets. The smallish warm water swimming pool is an added treat. Was delighted to be here. Front desk service was efficient. Room...
