Absolutely adored Hotel Azucenas! The nicest, most helpful staff. An incredible terrace with beautiful flowers, greenery and great for catching some sunshine! There was a lovely breakfast every morning--costs only $40 pesos extra and is optional to sign up for. The location was great and the rooftop provides a wonderful view of the city. We stayed on the street level...

This is the best place we've stayed in Mexico. Lovely rooftop terrace, small but clean bright yellow rooms with local touch, nice interior patio, very friendly staff and manager, 5 minutes walk to the center. Wholeheartedly recommend it :)

It's in a perfect home-base location. We immediately fell in love with this lovely inn. The entire place is laced with delightful works of art. The room was charming and comfortable. The service was very friendly and accommodating. We've paid more and gotten less at alternative Oaxaca hotels. Chatting with other guests during the glorious rooftop breakfasts, it seemed like...

Hotel Azucenas is a lovely little gem of a hotel. The owner and staff are friendly and welcoming, the location is really convenient for Oaxaca city, and all amenities are comfortable and of a high standard. The availability of tea and coffee throughtout the day and night and the wifi connection were a particular bonus, as was the lovely breakfast...

My husband and I joined our adult daughter, who had been in Oaxaca for six months. The three of us stayed in one room and found it to be very clean and comfortable. The hotel staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The breakfasts, although not too fancy, were perfect for us - fresh bakery items, delicious cheese, fruit, yogurt and...

What makes this hotel is the lovely roof-top terrace overlooking Oaxaca with beautiful plants...an oasis on which to have breakfast or a late night tea...tea and coffee are always available which is great...accommodation is rather basic and bathrooms tiny (toilet on-top of shower)...staff were helpful though...hotel is artistically done and thoroughly charming in feel...no air-con though which was not a...

I have just returned from an 8-night stay at Hotel Azucenas with my husband and 9-year old daughter. Our visit exceeded our expectations in every way. The room was nice, extremely clean, good shower/hot water. The street noise was not bad, IMO. I was worried about privacy from previous reviewers, but this was not a problem. The breakfast was fresh...

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Azucenas in October for my honeymoon. It was a simple hotel that provided all necessary ammenities within the room, with most other 'extras' available from reception if required, like hairdryers, ironing boards and even travel guides. There were a couple of TVs available as well if required but we didn't really find the need....

I am a very frequent traveler to Mexico-stayed in countless hotels/Inns/B&B's etc. Azucenas definitely gets thumbs up for service. Lovely people. The beds are very clean and comfortable-having stayed in many Mexican hotels where it feels like sleeping on a wooden table covered with a sheet! However, a few peeves brought the place down, namely a complete lack of privacy....

TYPE OF TRIP: Perfect if you want to be in the center of the city but a few blocks from the more, touristy hectic historic center. ROOMS/SERVICE: Clean rooms, some had windows to the outside, others only to the inside. Try to get a window to the outside otherwise there is not a ton of light that enters the room....
