Nice inexpensive hotel near the central historical district. Reasonably quiet neighborhood helped with sleeping. Rooms are small and the beds are short doubles, a bit small for two gringos. The staff was very helpful to us. There are no outward views from the rooms (which keeps them quite) but there is a marvelous roof terrace that looks out over the...

First the good stuff - fantastic laminated information sheets written in friendly fashion. Mostly nice rooms as far as I can tell - ours was good although next to the cleaning cupboard so the only time we were disturbed was by staff not clients chatting outside . Roof top terrace is lovely - honesty bar, nuts & coffee great. The breakfast...

The Hotel Azucenas is more like a B&B than a hotel. It's a restored colonial home about 5 blocks from the zocalo. The roof terrace has a spectacular view of the city. The rooms are a bit noisy because of the open center courtyard.

What a lovely bed and breakfast! Loved the decor of my room. The courtyard is beautiful and very peaceful. Breakfast was basic but very good and served on the wonderful terrace on the roof. The staff very friendly especially the women working in the kitchen and maintenance. Great location! Away from the center but so close to everything.

This hotel is ideally situated on a very old cobbled street. It is walking distance to the main pedestrian corridor and many local museums and churches and landmarks including the main 'zocolo' or square. There is a lovely terrace for morning breakfast. It was a joy to start your day there. Fresh bread is delivered each morning by bicycle. A...

My boyfriend and I spent 3 nights at Azucenas in November. Our first 2 nights before exploring the pueblos mancomunados were great. This small and well located hotel (quiet area, not to far from the main attractions) is charming and have a nice roof top. We decided to come back at Azucenas after our 4 days trekking. When we came...

LO SIENTO! Dear Laure H, In Spanish they say "Lo siento" which literally means, "I feel it." I'm sorry that after enjoying the hotel so much, you had a bad time at the end of your stay. For anyone who might not know, we ask people to sign up for breakfast the night before so we can buy fresh bread...

Hi ericafae - HOW COULD I NOT RESPOND TO THIS?? Thank you so much for recognIizing what we are trying to provide. Beautiful, clean, simple, friendly, helpful, interesting space! It's true that a couple of rooms have less light - but as we've said before, that doesn't seem to be a problem for lots of people. Those rooms are requested...

After reading the positive reviews on Trip Advisor for this hotel I made a reservation for 6 nights. I made the reservation well in advance but when we arrived they had reserved the dreaded room 3 for us. I realize this hotel is an old adobe hacienda but this room didn't even have a small window on the the courtyard....

THE ROOM HAS TWO GREAT BIG SKYLIGHTS! We are sorry that you didn’t know that room #3 has removable skylight covers. It is one of the brightest rooms in the hotel on a sunny day when both skylights are uncovered. Too bright for some people! We remove/replace either or both of the custom-made black vinyl covers on request and are...
