Irma was a wonderful host - nothing was too much trouble (booking bus tickets, laundry, advice on tour guides and booking taxi's). There is a lovely garden to relax in and a pool.I really felt we had been "looked after" at Casa Panchita.

This was the fourth time we stayed at the lovely Casa Panchita. This time we were there for two weeks and were able to really experience the hospitality that Irma and Alejandro and their staff offer every guest. If you can get it stay in the studio a room once used by a weaver for his craft. Large and sun...

For a very warm personal introduction to Oaxaca, stay with Irma, Alejandro & Panchita at Casa Panchita. A beautiful private home like setting focused around a large flower filled courtyard. Meet other very interesting guests over breakfast or at happy hour, with Alejsndro's famous margaritas! Irma & Alejandro can refer you to wonderful tour guides and suggest some off the...

Nicest host, most homey feel I've ever experienced at a B and B. Hands down this is the best place to stay in Oaxaca! Irma and Alejandro make you feel right at home, there is an honor bar with beers and soda. It really feels like home here. I will definitely stay again.

Six lovely rooms around a central courtyard offer a quiet oasis from the bustling city of Oaxaca. Within walking distance to everything the city has to offer. The gracious owners provide for your needs from breakfast to transportation arrangements. I will stay here again on my next trip to Oaxaca.

Beautiful B&B furnished with lots of local crafts, about a 10 minute walk to the Zocolo. Very comfortable rooms, beautiful swimming pool, fabulous and authentic Mexican breakfasts with fresh fruit, fresh squeezed orange juice, coffee, fresh breads, home-made granola (best ever), and superb eggs with tortillas and sauces, prepared in a wide variety of ways by Dona Panchita, who turned...

Located in a great middle class neighborhood walking distance from the Zocalo, Panchita, her daughter, Irma, and her husband, Alejandro, have created a slice of heaven. We stayed for a week - using it as a daily base of operation. Rooms were very comfortable, grounds are lovely, service stellar, and food fantastic and as others mentioned you felt like family....

Our stay at Casa Panchita was to say the least the best experience we have ever had at any B&B. The outstanding attention and care from Irma, Alejandro and Panchita was way above the norm. Alejandro drove us one evening to a restaurant after we expressed interest in trying certain Oaxacan cuisines. We were not disappointed, it was great. Their...

“This is a small B&B and depending on the season there may be few choices. There is one room near the road (with a little traffic and early morning noise) and some are larger than others so discuss what you need when making reservations. I have stayed in 4 different rooms (really casitas because they are all separate) and have always been happy”

“Night time in Oaxaca is lively and sometimes noisy. Music blares. Dogs bark. Fireworks erupt. Casa Panchita's stone walls ensure privacy, but the rooms aren't sound proof, though the "studio" is the one farthest from the street.”
