I returned to Oaxaca after two years partly because of this hotel. It is in an enclosed courtyard and is completely safe and secure. The staff maintain the property immaculately, and the neighbors, (who return every year) are lively and friendly. The location is close to everything, and the price is right. Finally, Maria herself is a charming and attentive...

My partner and I visited Villa Maria in February for three weeks, the second time we've stayed. This is a secure, 16 suite complex ideally suited to visitors who value comfort and relative simplicity close to the Zocalo and amenities. All suites have complete kitchens and are decorated lovingly by Maria with many family furnishings. WiFi is available, bottled water...

The apartments are very spacious and clean. The furniture is old style but decent. The inner patio is small but beautiful green. Limited street noise during the morning and evening rush hours the remaining hours are quiet. Maria is a nice woman. The staff is friendly and helpful. The location is pretty good. A secure car park is right around...

This is a great place to stay near the center of Oaxaca City. It is a very good value and very convenient to the Zócalo, transport, and other attractions of the city. The $20 we paid to have wi-fi in our apartment was well worth it. Our apartment was well furnished, comfortable, and clean. Maria is a wonderful hostess. She...

My wife and I spent nine nights at Villa Maria in Oaxaca. Prior to flying to Oaxaca, Maria provided us with very explicit information on how to travel from Mexico City Airport to Oaxaca by bus and how to find her place once we arrived. The apartment was cool, clean and totally furnished and nicely decorated. Maria was the perfect...

We stayed for 21/2 months and felt very at home from day one. Our 2 bedroom apartment had easy access to the beautiful flower filled courtyard and the roof garden which was...

We stayed for 5 nights in a 3 bedroom apartment but used only two of them. The kitchen was fully equipped so we could do our own cookings. Oaxaca in april is very hot but thanks to the plants in the patio the temperatur in Villa Maira is much less. All rooms have fans. The rooms are very clean. We...

My husband and I came to Oaxaca to study - TESOL course and Spanish. We booked a room at Villa Maria in October and based on what Maria told us and the reviews, we thought we had just the place we needed for six weeks. Maria told us that the apartment fronted on Calle Arteaga and that it could be...

My wife and I have stayed at Villa Maria many times usually for 3 months. We lucked up on our first stay there because it was sight unseen and we had never been to Oaxaca. We were greeted by helpful neighbors who became friends and pleasant surrondings. The location we know now is second to none in convenience. The staff...
