My wife and I stayed here from 10/11 to 13/11 2016. We reserved our room 2 1/2 months beforehand but were disappointed to have been given the worst room FF. Above reception and on a busy road, woken by screams at night and very noisy generally.

Ever since they started, I´ve stayed the Hotel Golondrinas, and know the owners, and Carmen, their daughter who´s running it now for decades. Simple, clean, beautiful Mexican taste. Centrally located, great staff. The price? Excellent.

The staff were very friendly and willing to help with information on the city, booking a taxi to the airport and any questions. We arrived late at night and were lucky to find such comfortable accommodation available. The rooms are surrounded by pretty gardens. I found it to be a bit expensive although I believe you pay for such a... More

Both my wife and myself agreed that Las Golondrinas was one of the best places we had ever stayed at...in every way. It was beautiful, the staff was great, it was quiet but friendly, the rooms were kept pristinely clean, Maria at the desk was able to answer just about any question we asked, the location was excellent. I should... More

Las Golandrinas is a small hotel with basic amenities with an excellent location. It is only a 5 min walk from the Zocalo in one direction and a 5 min walk to the Temple of Santo Domingo in the other direction. It is very close to many excellent restaurants as well. Although breakfast is not included, they serve breakfast to... More

This medium-priced hotel served us well. Rooms are very clean and basic, with a couple of upright chairs in each room besides the bed(s) and cupboards and desk. There are garden areas to sit in, and the gardens are truly amazing--a riot of plants that are carefully tended by the staff. Wifi was best closest to the source. Continental breakfast... More

This hotel is pleasant and secure, the gardens are lovely, the staff is helpful, and the location is great. But, there seems to be quite a range in the rooms and your experience will depend on your room. I was in three different rooms over a 7-night stay. If I had not been able to switch rooms after my first... More

I have stayed in Las Golondrinas several times and have always had a pleasant stay. The rooms are large and clean, the front desk staff are friendly and helpful and the interior courtyards are beautiful – full of tropical plants, with garden chairs hidden in various places, perfect for some quiet reading. The rooms are very simple (no TV, for... More

Don't keep driving when you see the outside. Las Golondrinas does not show its worth until your are inside. It is like walking into a library, everything just becomes quiet. You look up at a path (and a few steps) embraced by mature tropical vines, leafy trees and shrubs. There are cottages on both sides but barely visible because of... More

Had not stayed here for three years. Not as immaculately maintained as it used to be and some of the good breakfast items gone from the menu. Rooms still very clean and price at today's exchange is about $46.00 USD for two in a room. Still a good pick but you can move up to much nicer accommodations in Oaxaca... More
