Had a great stay at this hostel: the great, sincerely friendly staff who are always there to help you or to invite you to a DF event, the nice rooftop terrace, the lovely condesa neigjbourbood, the very social atmosphere and the clean, spacious rooms made our stay a very pleasant one. Sad to leave!

If you're looking to be social, Barefoot is your place. The common area is very convivial, and there is a fantastic roof space that they open sometimes. I met plenty of very fun people whom I hope to see in the future. The downside of all this socializing is noise, especially if your room is on the second floor. Highly... More

Location is everything! Price is quite fair. Don't expect luxurious details. It offers the basic stuff you'll need. Its great for young people and a short stay. If you want to feel young and adventurous again, this is the perfect place for you in Mexico City.

This is a hostel located at Condesa neighbourhood. with walking distance to metro chapultepec and metro Juanacatlan. There's parque mexico and parque españa just a few blocks away. The hostel has a good ambience and good design and nice bed too. The hostel is also close to nightlife area. But nobody cares when the guest were making noise in the... More

We stayed here for 2 nights that seemed to last way longer!, small hotel, good location but very rudimentary one, we had a private room and it feels that the walls are paper-thin, you can hear people talk 2 stories below, just be glad if they dont have a backpacker`s party because you wont be sleeping. Not so clean micro-bathroom,... More

We stayed in a room with bathroom for five nights. There was almost no ventilation and the bathroom was extremely small. The floor was dirty and we found hair in the shower. Over all this is a loud and not very clean hostel, but it's located in a great neighbourhood, the breakfast is good and the staff is nice. I'd... More

Friendly staff and personal, yummy breakfast included, and located in a great part of the city!...I stayed there for nearly two weeks and didn't grow bored of places to see and things to experience. I would recommend it to anyone wanting to see the beauty that Mexico City has to offer!!

Courtyard design of hotel means that doors opening and closing are loud and echo. Breakfast was not the best. The room we had the first night had a broken and locked door and we had to climb in through the window, not the biggest problem for us but the "key guy" didn't show up for a full day after we... The Stayinn has got to be one of the best values in all of Mexico City. It is a very hip, well-located, clean, comfortable and inexpensive location to rest your head for a couple days. It's close to the subway, walking distance to both the fantastic Parc Chapultepec and the Condesa neighbourhood which is where you want to be for... More

Although it is kind of a backpackers place, it also is an excellent option if you like your own, private room. My room was spatious, with just about all the (interesting, hip) furniture you need, not too much, not too little. Very good price for this expensive neighbourhood and as said before, superfriendly, service minded staff. Good internet connection, very... More

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Staying Barefoot is a brand new hostel in the center of the bohemian part of Mexico city. The general idea of building this place, was to show every tourist  a Mexico only few have had the opportunity of really experiencing, trying to take each and everyone of them to the center soul of Mexican life. This hostel is part of a backpacking agency that takes you to places all around south east Mexico. We call this trips "Regional trips"  well they are journeys around each of our hostels, no longer than three day ride, leaving and returning to the hostel, taking you to places you could not or would not  visit otherwise. Place you have only seen in pictures where you will live like a real Mexican would.Today we are opening this one, but we are very to close to open eight more all around Mexico.Be the first one to try the Barefoot experience.Traveling Barefoot means letting everything go to live life as free as you could be, so you can learn and grow from what you see.You can also travel all through out south east Mexico with us. For the moment we are just opening our first hostel in Mexico city, but wait at the announcement of the rest.
