Great Service, friendly staff. On my last three trips to México City I have stayed at Hotel Marlowe. It's located near some great sites. There is also a restaurant in the hotel. This makes meals convenient and quick if you are in a hurry. I will definitely book with them in future trips.

Arrived at the lobby with my reservation from booking.com printed and the first thing the receptionist says is that Booking.com hasn't sent them the reservation so I had to wait several minutes so they could figured out what was the problem, after it was fixed, they wanted to charged me 650 pesos more then the amount that was given to... Great location. Staff was excellent. Amazing room, for the price. Yes-would've loved a/c, but I wasn't in CDMX for the room. Just take a hot shower before bed and it doesn't feel so warm. Front desk was so helpful with tours & directions. Also loved the restaurant next door. Will stay here again

This hotel is in the best possible location in Mexico City. It's very safe and although the rooms are simple, the showers are great, there's free wifi which actually works and a small tv in every room. I was a woman traveling alone and felt safe here the whole time. The cost of this hotel was great. I got a... More

Everything about this hotel is reasonable. The breakfast buffet was delicious for 130MXN extra. I forgot or missed that there is no A/C in the hotel rooms before I reserved. The windows in the rooms are very small so heat stays in the room even when it is cool outside. I rented a car on this trip and the parking... More

A friend and I booked a 5th floor room with 2 double beds. The furnishings are dated, the room very sparse, no view to speak of. No mini-fridge, no A/C, and it being May meant when we returned to the room in the evening it was sweltering. There was, however, a noisy overhead fan which we had on all night... More

This hotel is located very conveniently in Mexico city historical center. It looks like it was remodelled and feels like a decent place. The place itself is very clean, the rooms are spacious and the staff is quite nice. The only downside was the internet, it was not working at all.

We had a long layover in Mexico City so we booked two nights at Hotel Marlowe in order to do an early check in. The staff handed the situation very well and we had no problems at all. The location is very good, really close to the Palacio de Bellas Artes and Alameda Central and within walking distance from El... More

We have always loved staying in the Centro Historico and usually have chosen 2-3 star hotels a little further toward the zocalo. But thankfully this time we chose the Marlowe and were very pleased. Located on Independencia almost at Lazaro Cardenas, you are only a block from the Alameda and Palacio de Bellas Artes. Plenty of restaurants and shopping all... More

Courteous staff for the most part, great location, although we got there during Chinese New Year without realizing that the hotel is one block from Chinatown. We had to endure fire crackers, drums, loud music 3 nights in a row, each time until about midnight. But otherwise, right in the center, plenty of places to eat, walking distance from Zocalo,... Staying in Alameda

Neighbourhood Profile
Alameda
This beautiful park was once the playground for the wealthiest families in the colonial era, and is now the perfect place where locals and visitors can spend a sunny weekend afternoon to relax or shop for souvenirs at the market. Kids can run around or grab a bite of cotton candy while teens and adults wander around admiring the charming gardens and the sculptures that adorn it. Once the heat rises, it may be time to visit one of the many cozy restaurants or cafés with its characteristic art nouveau facades to cool down and call it a day.
