I just visited Mexico City and stayed at the Metropol hotel. I was happily surprise of the place, once in the lobby I notice how clean and how good it looked. It was more than I expected for the price. I strongly recommend to include breakfast in your stay it was very good as well. It's not a 5 star...

This hotel has all the things needed to be a top top hotel. But each one of those things is just slightly ordinary. Passable, but ordinary. Of course you get what you pay for, so for the price you shouldn't be too unhappy. The staff seemed friendly enough, the shower worked and pumped out hot water, there was a little...

I loved this place - be scared at the start but get use to it. Not quite what we get in Australia but that's why we travel. Would recommend this place and its food !!! It looks very dangerous on approach in the early hours but it really is safe. Enjoy your stay.

Hotel Metropol is just two blocks from Juarez Metro Stop, so it's easy to reach from the airport; just one ticket. It is clean and comfortable with a great breakfast buffet. There's a very interesting restaurant a couple of doors away connected with Bosforo Mescaleria.

Good hotel, centrally located, only 15 minute walk to zocalo and tons of shops along the way, clean. Nice lobby and hallways. Beds not great nor was the wifi. No fans do leaving windows open means for a noisy night. But a good solid place to stay.

Great location, clean and comfortable. Unfortunately very noisy when I stayed - people in adjacent rooms were partying and smoking in non-smoking areas and no action was taken to stop this. Breakfast buffet had lovely fruit and pastries - hot food was a little slow being replenished, but was also tasty.

Fantastic hotel. Clean, quiet and close to everything. Not much to look out of from the rooms (well the one we were in) but the rest of it made up for lack of scenery. Close to the park and the markets. Great restaurant and staff are very friendly and helpful

We have stayed at the Metropol twice now and like the rooms, dining room, food and service. We also like the location, it is within walking distance of some things and not a far drive to others, like the Basilica of Our Lady of Guadalupe.

Hotel Metropol is very well located with a short walk to the Palacio de Bellas Artes and the metro stop. Easy walk to the Zócalo a few blocks down Av. Francisco Madero. There's a great little restaurant across the road for cheap and good desayuno. The hotel is clean with good facilities. Wifi is sporadic and only a small fan...

The hotel itself is quite old and outdated and it is facing other noisy streets, however just few walking distance you will reach the city centre. The room was big however very old style duvets and pillows. The room that was given was very very noisy you could literally hear the conversation from next door. Got woken up several times...

Staying in Alameda

Neighbourhood Profile
Alameda
This beautiful park was once the playground for the wealthiest families in the colonial era, and is now the perfect place where locals and visitors can spend a sunny weekend afternoon to relax or shop for souvenirs at the market. Kids can run around or grab a bite of cotton candy while teens and adults wander around admiring the charming gardens and the sculptures that adorn it. Once the heat rises, it may be time to visit one of the many cozy restaurants or cafés with its characteristic art nouveau facades to cool down and call it a day.
