You'd be crazy not to stay here. Such a treat to be deliciously lost among Rick's murals, sculptures and art and to hear his and Carmen's tales of building Casa Zuniga on the steep ravine that is Guanajuato. I never figured out how many levels there are. Guests get the run of the whole gigantic place except for the hosts'...

Fantastic views looking down at the town and across the valley from the top of the hill where the Funicular runs. Tickets for the Funicular came with the room so getting back and forth to the center of town was accomplished with just a few steps. Each room had access to an outside balcony and lots of common areas to...

After a 10 day central Mexico trip, my hats off to Carmen and Rick who live onsite. We stayed at a few boutique hotels where the owners are absent and the experience was lacking. Big thumbs up to all the staff who help keep this casa spotless and serve up a different breakfast experience every day. Thank you.

Rick and Carmen have created a hotel experience as unique as Guanajuato itself. The sculpture, painting, ceramic, and metal art alone justify a stay. The location on the hill above this historic town provides a spectacular view from your balcony. Better yet, the front door is steps from Guanajuato’s elevator-on-a-track funicular, which descends right into the centre of town from...

All the accolades in the other glowing reviews are TRUE -- and very well-deserved! (So I won't repeat.) I'll just say that Rick and Carmen, the owners, are the consummate hosts -- better than in a 5-star hotel. They're kind, caring, friendly and go above and beyond to make their guests feel comfortable and welcome. Case-in-point: we arrived a day...

Rick and Carmen are amazing hosts and their B&B is fantastic. Great Breakfasts, wonderful, quiet location with a stunning view and quick and fun access to town on the Funicular. Rick's handmade furniture, sculptures, artwork, etc. make Casa Zuniga not just a place to stay but a destination all its own. We give it our highest recommendation and would eagerly...

I think that Rick does this for the fun of it. He would rather have fewer people that he can get to know and show off his hotel and city that he is so proud of. (He took six of us over to the mine and gave us a personal tour-at no charge, of course.) The hotel/house is incredible. He...

We stayed at Casa Zuniga for five nights, celebrating an anniversary in February. We based our decision to stay there on TripAdvisor reviews, which were all positive. It was an excellent choice! What more can I say than has been said by previous reviewers - the Casa Zuniga is amazing, the staff are friendly, helpful and efficient. The rooms are...

We had a fabulous time in Guanajuato staying at Casa Zuñiga! This city was so wonderful in itself and even better from this great hilltop location, with easy access into downtown via the funicular. We stayed in the Morgan room, which had a lovely patio view and comfy bed. The helpful service and great breakfasts seal the deal.
