We chose this hotel because it is very well located and close to the University, Gardens and several snacks/restaurants so we called the hotel to book a room with private bathroom. The lady in the phone promised me said room for $400 MXN a night. When we got there, a different clerk told us there weren't rooms with bathroom at...

My husband and I reserved a dorm room for several nights. When we got there, there was a huge water tank in the middle of the lobby, which was not in the internet pictures. The ladies bathroom smelled of sewer gas, and I could not stand to use it because water was leaking from the bottom of the toilet bowl....

We walked in off the street for this one. They had a chalkboard out front with their current rates. I couldn't find anything else with such reasonable rates in the area, so decided to go for it. PLUSES: The rooms are very roomy, with high ceilings, and despite being a hostel, there wasn't much noise from other people staying there....

Be very careful when booking this hostel through a website or the internet! I stumbled across the hostel's website while I was searching for a place to stay in Guanajuato for three nights in late August of this year. I tried to call the hostel directly to inquire about room availability and then I tried to contact them via email...

This Hostal is centrally located and very nice, pleasant and clean. We rented 2 rooms, with two twin beds each for 100 pesos/person. The staff was very friendly and helpful. There was a clean large shared bathroom, a nice living area, a terrace with weights, a kitchen, free internet and many cute little sitting areas. It was a little weird...
