We're paying $170 night for a room that should cost $50. It's a dump. I'm uploading photos of the frayed towels. The sheets are old and worn and so rough they itch. The lobby looks like that of a youth hostel. The front desk has no English speaking help--which is fine at a budget hotel, but not one at international...

We appreciate taking the time to give us your feedback. We made some changes to improve the thigs you are observed. We hired a biligual person, who is now in the front desk to cater foreign guests. We also made changes in our bed clothes and we have changed the towels. For us your opion is valuable and helps us...

I arrived quite early in the morning off the red eye flight and the front desk was very understanding and accommodating and I was given a room. The room was clean with nice high ceilings but a bit plain. I have to agree with previous reviews regarding the noise which echoes from the atrium and the church bells across the...

My wife and I spent 2 nights in August at this small hotel in central Guanajuato. It is a lovely, old building that has been well maintained. The room on the 3rd floor was clean, spacious and had the bathroom was updated and fairly nice. It lacks air conditioning, but the provided fan was adequate since it cools down considerably...

Hotel Casa Virreyes is in a perfect location in the center of Guanajuato. My wife and I stayed there for one night while visiting with friends. The hotel is comfortable, reasonably quiet and the room we had was clean and comfortable. We were disappointed that we were not given a king size bed as that was what our reservation called...

I stayed here for a weekend and the location is really centric, the staff is nice and the hotel is good except the pillows hehehe they were so huge that it was really hard to use them for sleep. So on the good side is the location, you can leave your car in another hotel of theirs that is about...

butler, receptionists, everybody was really friendly. We booked a suite or something with 3 beds, two on the lower part of the suite and one on the upper part, everything was clean. Best of all was the location, its exactly in the middle of the city . We were there for two nights. Price/value ratio was excellent. Good Breakfast too....

This is a small hotel very well located, near the main attractions downtown. The common areas are very nice and the room had a good size. We were on the third floor and after a few times going in and out we wished the hotel had an elevator. Sleep quality wasn’t the best. At night, I could hear some street...

This was a wonderful, little hotel. The staff was attentive and helpful with the questions we had. It is in a GREAT location across from the Basilica (walking distance to almost everything!) The included breakfast was very good and the rooms are nice and relatively modern (light a little dim, though). Our only complaint was that in my cousin's room...

We stayed at the Casa Virreyes for six nights while in Guanajuato house hunting. The hotel is spotlessly clean and well appointed. Very comfortable beds, modern plumbing (including a soaker tub in our suite) flat screen TV and coffee maker with coffee in the room. They also brought tea bags when we asked for them. The hotel is located right...

I found the museums and architecture outstanding. So much...

“Third floor is the least noisy. Ask for a room with a view; otherwise you will get a room with no view at all.”

“since it's an old old building, wifi doesn't travel well, hav a seat in the atrium dining area for good reception, also go up to the roof for a great view!”

“You might try and stay on the opposite side of Plaza de la Paz...the Cathedral bells may not be so loud. Unfortunately, they ring before every mass (at least four masses, starting as early as 7AM when were were there), and they ring the bells 30 and 15 minutes before mass, and at the start!”

“Rooms next to the Basilica although sheltered from street noise, are subject to the church bells in the morning.”

“Rooms upstairs are less noisy; downstairs rooms are VERY close to kitchen and dining area! Rooms have a rotating electric fan, but in July it cools off nicely at night due to occassional rain showers. Free wi-fi in lobby and in many rooms. They offer tours but they PACK in the vans to get more money (kind of uncomfortable) so maybe ask how many people will be on tour with you!”
