Casa de las Piedras was listed on the internet as eco-tourism. We did not have any prior experience with this place so were taking our chances on accomodations and proprieter. We wanted a place located in a neighborhood, near the beach, with full kitchen facilities. We were thoroughly pleased with Casa de las Piedras! This is a thatch-roofed, open-air casa...

Where do I begin.....Casa de la Piedras far exceeded our expetations. It is a beautiful property tucked in the hillside above la playa, nestled amongst the lush jungle. This is a true getaway that included wildlife, beautiful people, and serenity. Highly recommended for all age travellers who seek something alittle special and out of the ordinary. Grace, the owner, is...

I just returned from an incredible week spent in Zihuatanejo at Casa de las Piedras in the midst of swine flu hysteria, and I can truly say that there was no better place to be than perched on a verdant jungle hillside, with a symphony of crashing waves, birds and wildlife, while tucked into a thoughtfully, artistically appointed open air...

It hasn't even been a week since returning from our FABulous trip to casa de las piedras...and already I want to go back! If you don't mind bugs and an endangered raccoon like animal as roommates, this is the place for you. Thankfully my three girlfriends and I can quickly adapt to different environments and aren't very squeamish, so the...

Casa Bambu Treehouse Might be your paradise…or not With any lodging this unique there will be people who love it and people who don’t. My wife and I, both in our mid-fifties, just spent 9 nights there and felt it was about as close to our idea of paradise as any place we’ve stayed at. But even Grace, the owner,...

I read a recent review and just felt I needed to write about our recent experience of Casa Bambu. My husband and I stayed there last year for our honeymoon, and fell in love with the place. Yes it is quite a walk up, but Grace(the owner) will tell you that the weak of heart should not stay there, because...

Casa Bambu (the accommodations directly above Casa de las Piedras): Obviously, these accommodations weren't for us. As I thought that staying at Casa Bambu Treehouse was going to be a magical, wonderful experience, I feel compelled to caution others who may be looking for an adventure that this may actually be a bit MORE adventure than you are prepared for....

It's been a month since I returned from my visit to paradise. Now that I'm back at my desk and trudging through my normal routine, the sensation of bliss and adventure is starting to fade, but my memories of Zihuatanejo will be with me for a lifetime. I only hope I don't have to wait that long to return, whether...
